Black Friday Report: H&M Steps Up Its Shoe Game
posted by: freePOrnaoa in General
I was surprised at how much H&M had stepped it up (oh dear, can’t stop with the shoe puns) when I visited the posh Midtown branch on Black Friday. Most pairs were around $25 to $30-something bucks.

Test Drive: Guess Rumala High Heel Over-the-Knee Boots

In my search for a pair of over-the-knee boots, I took the Guess Rumala High Heel Over-the-Knee Boots for $139.90 for a test drive.
First test: Did they actually come up over my knees? Check.
The leather was of a decent quality. For some reason, though, when I put them on, they bunched strangely over my ankles and right under my knees.
The bend-at-the-knee test: I could bend my knee decently because of the lower back, but it wasn’t ideal.
The walking test: Did not pass. The heel, unfortunately, was not so comfortable for some reason, even though it was only 3.5 inches.
The search continues.
Bloomingdales Weather Update: Sunny With a Chance of Raining Shoes

Just wanted to give an update on the scene at Bloomingdales as of last week. There were a ton of mid- to upper-range shoes on sale, hitting prices from 61.99 to 81.99 for typical flats to over $100 for booties.
(I love how the girl on the right has one pump and one boot on. I was wondering which one was hers and which was the store’s. I think the boot is hers, judging from her outfit and the weather, but I could be wrong).
On the sale rack shoes:
Most of the following shoes are on display as full price. Marc Jacobs, RoseGold, Tory Burch and Corso Como are just a few of the brands available.
Superheros Wear D&G: Bloomingdales and DC Comics

I am ridiculously enamored with department store windows, and the recent windows at Bloomingdales are action-packed and for once feature men in colorful, playful settings.
Bloomingdales and DC Comics have partnered together to celebrate DC Comics’ 75th anniversary with a line of t-shirts and cuff links. The D&G and Adidas shoes paired with the outfits were perfect. The modern man needs a great sneaker to keep him not just mobile and comfortable, but dapper in almost any casual situation.
Check out the comics on these kicks.
The t-shirts, cuff links and other accessories are available on Bloomingdales.com.
Here’s to more colorful, fun, whimsical men’s clothes and shoes in the windows.
