Extreme Stilettos by Gianmarco Lorenzi
posted by: brianka in General
I love heels. And while they are a minority in my collection, I am no stranger to stilettos. I have been wearing heels, including stilettos, off and on for the better part of two decades and generally don’t have any issues finding my balance on a typical stiletto heel.
However, these double-platform marvels by Gianmarco Lorenzi give me certain pause.
Just looking at these makes me wince in fearful anticipation of taking that inevitable wrong step. I can easily imagine the aftermath: One injured shoe-blogger planted pathetically on the couch with an iced-wrapped ankle – mentally berating herself for believing she could successfully carry these off.
Ladies, these are for expert heel aficionados only. No amateurs need apply.

Jonathan Saunders Fall 2010
posted by: HerberWellss in Boots, Christian Louboutin Shoes, General, High heels, Sandals
Jonathan Saunders presented shoes made by Christian Louboutin in his London Show. I may have to look at them for a while, because they don’t seem all that special to me. Maybe after looking at them a while they will grow on me. Let me show you.
Snub toe ankle boots
Strapped sandals. The wrinkled socks are odd.
There is a spine that goes up the back.
Ankle boots with a cut-out at the heel.
Here are the outfits that went with these shoes.
Am I missing something?
Congratulations Fashion Critic!
One of our favorite websites is called Red Carpet Fashion Awards. The fashion blog is run by an amazing woman named Catherine. On the blog, Catherine uses her super fashion sleuthing to id the designer each celebrity is wearing, critiques red carpet events, shows us where we can purchase the same look of ourselves, and gives opinions on the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Folks, she is good. It’s a great blog.
Catherine was just included in the US Vogue March 2010 Power Issue in an article and photo shoot of bloggers who’s blog shapes and influences the style world. We just wanted to offer our congratulations to Fashion Critic because she does a fabulous job and the recognition is well deserved.

But for our readers, I expect that at least some of you are in wedding planning mode. So why not add one of these spectacular wedding-worthy shoes to your bridal wish list?

Burberry Porsum 2010 Fall Line
posted by: HerberWellss in Burberry Porsum, General
Oh. My. Gosh. How much do I love the Burberry line that was featured today in London. Christopher Baily showed a military theme that was wonderful. Buckled ankle boots, buckled knee boots, and thigh high boots were shown. Love the lime green with olive.
This is something I would love to wear.
My absolute favorite outfit. My mother calls this color Menopause Purple because so many older women love this color. I used to think it was funny, now, not so much.
I think it is a stroke of genious to get Emma Watson, then Nina Porter to be the Burberry girls. Note the young girls all sitting in the front row.
Mary Kate Olsen, Kate Hudson, Kristen Stewart, Claire Danes, Mia Wasikowska.
This line has been my favorite London Fashion Week so far.
