Dior Temptation Bootie

Dior Temptation Bootie, $990 at Nordstroms
These Dior booties are properly named “Temptation” because I really want these shoes. I’m in love with the thoughtful details put into this shoe and the excellent usage of a variety of skins. First you have a tiny strip of snakeskin platform. On top, front and center, you have another panel of snakeskin. All of this is contrasted perfectly with the alternating strips of leather and suede for the cage boot effect. Plus, there are enough cutouts and a peep toe bootie to show some skin and that pedicure I just got. A zip back closure allows for easy access into the shoe.
Alaïa Lace Up Ankle Boots

Happy Halloween Shoe Lovers! For those dressing up, what costume are you wearing including, of course, your shoes? If cost were not an object, I’d want to be a witch simply because these Alaïa lace up suede ankle boots ($1640 at Net-A-Porter) have absolutely bewitched me. Sure, the toe might not be long or pointy enough, but I think I could pull it off, especially since I love the details on this sole, including the ruffled trim, the lace up, and the zipper on the back.
Also, if you are in the mood for a trick, today is your final chance to enter our Naturalizer shoes giveaway, where you could win any pair of Naturalizer shoe you’d like, up to $150 in value.
Yves St. Laurent’s Suede Tribute Knee Boot

Platforms aren’t everybody’s cup of tea. But, for many who love a little – or a lot – of extra oomph to their altitude, YSL’s Tribute and Tribtoo sandals and pumps approach holy grail shoe-status. This silhouette is so recognizable, it has become a signature item in the YSL shoe collections. So, for fall, it is only fitting that YSL offers up a sumptuous, suede, knee-boot in this coveted and enduringly popular style.
My favorite part of this boot? The color. (more…)
Tory Burch Pink Rain Boot and Umbrella

Tory Burch’s Limited Edition umbrella ($58) and rain boot ($150) in pink are a perfect way to add some color to the otherwise dreary weather we’ll soon be experiencing. The best part of these boots, however, is not the cute footwear, but the knowledge that Tory Burch will donate 15% of the the sales generated from the boots and umbrella to support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation®. So please kick your boots into high gear and help us find a cure for breast cancer.
Knotty Nuttiness: Bernhard Willhelm for Camper
posted by: freePOrnaoa in General
I love the wacky artiness of this shoe. I was in the Camper store yesterday and there were so many cool collaborations going on. This is one of them. It’s like having Twizzlers as your gladiator shoes! Love the creativity of the Camper collabs.
Not only is Herr Willhelm incredibly creative, but he’s quite funny as well. ”Fashion people only react to very strong ideas. One season I was into rubbish, so I based the collection on McDonald’s Happy Meal figures.”
Sounds like Zoolander’s Derelicte style to me.
So maybe Twizzlers were indeed the inspiration? There is a childlike playfulness in this shoe. When asked about his playfulness, he said, “I’ve been inspired by kids’ naïve artwork.”
Recycling your leather, ropes and rubber soles and having fun while you’re at it? A nice combo. Ecological is still the word of the fashion bird.
Stylists and hip shops like Opening Ceremony are loving it.
