Biking in High Heels to Bergdorf Goodman?
posted by: freePOrnaoa in General
This is the best bike rack I’ve ever seen. Since fashionable New Yorker women do insist on biking (on relaxed vintage cruisers, mind you, not racing bikes!) in their high heels, this bike rack at the corner of 57th and 5th in front of Bergdorf Goodman is cheeky. I’m a biker and a lover of high heels, so… naturally, love it!

Some of the Aldo for Julian Louie shoes look like hot messes from your grandma’s couch, and some of them are fun and funky. I want to sing, “The Giraffes go marching two by two” when I see these ones below!

ShoeBlog Giveaway: Win a pair of Naturalizer Shoes
posted by: freePOrnaoa in Shoe Contests
ShoeBlog recently attended the Naturalizer Feel Good Tour, and what a delight it was! This rolling tour brought Naturalizer’s shoes across the country to various locations for a networking, shoe-gazing event. I braved the crowds in Times Square to get to hang out with other shoe lovers, look at lovely fall styles and take home a gorgeous pair of shoes that look designer but retail for a fraction of the price.
This was my welcome wagon at this shoe party. And they were fun, welcoming and attentive during the whole event. We wish every shoe line had store representatives like this!

(Christopher Kane embroidered lace-up Ghillie boots)
Boots very similar to this retail version were shown on the Christopher Kane (London) runway for his Fall 2010 show. Sexy and romantic, Ghillie-laced heels were the shoe of choice for this show. I am happy to let our readers know that these shortened, ankle-boot variants (‘Giuseppe Zanotti for Christopher Kane’) are available now via Net-a-porter and Luisa via Roma for the small pittance of $1360-$1428. While not exactly lunch money, I can at least dream of scoring a pair of these at clearance prices or post-season overstock sales.
Here’s a quick comparison peek at the original runway styles: (more…)
