Dior Temptation Leather & Suede Clogs

I’ve long been a fan of the cone-shaped wood heel, especially in combination with a neutral upper. This is a really nice one, but it’s equivalent to a 4.25 inch heel. The slingback is adjustable and the insole is padded though, so at least it’s prepared for the height.
One of the most fun things about this design is that the patterning in the wood mirrors the pattern of the upper. I’ve turned it on its side and taken a photo to show you how the two match. Lovely! Fun! Eye-catching. Like it.

Louboutin Cork Platform Sandals: Hideous or Not?
posted by: freePOrnaoa in General
I have this nervous feeling that half of you are going to tell me that you really love this shoe.
This is, in my opinion, the most hideous thing I have ever seen put out with a Louboutin red sole. Drab color, ugly brass-colored studs, weird Wonder Woman-style shape on the vamp, gross accentuation of cork, which I hate on shoes.
A very similar Louboutin (The Super Dombasie, which is sans studs) is $505 at MyTheresa.com or online at Saks. I believe the one above was around $950 if I recall correctly and is sold out at Farfetch, so it can be purchased in person at Saks 10022-SHOE department.
So what do you think? Rush to get it, meh, or OMG no, which is it? C’mon, we won’t hate on you if you tell me you love this shoe, just tell us why!
Jimmy Choo’s Opulence Sandal

There are a ton of neutral shoes out there this spring. Some are quite lovely while others are just kind of, ‘meh’.
Today, I find myself on the fence with these ‘Opulence’ caged sandals from Jimmy Choo.

Are you wearing your green today?
I’m wearing one of my favorite pairs of green leather Maryjanes, naturally.
Anyway, I thought I’d share some fun, green shoes in support of all of those folks out there who are getting ready to tell tall tales, drink green beer, and consume their annual portion of corned beef and cabbage (though I understand this is a particularly Irish-American interpretation of the date).
Unfortunately, bright greens are a bit out of favor this season. In fact, while you will find tons of military-drab, olive, and borderline-khaki tones out there in fashion-land, few truly-festive greens are to be found.
Luckily, where there’s a stubborn streak (guilty as charged), there’s a way.
May I present the ‘Opel’ satin pump by Badgley Mischka ($110). With a touch of sparkle at the toe, it’s a bit of a classic style - and likely to be much more than a once a year indulgence – unlike the aforementioned corned beef et. al.
Vera Wang Lavender Label Flats

Vera Wang, as you may or may not know, has really been focusing on her ready-to-wear market and shoe market. These flats on display at New York Fashion Week were lovely. Very high end for flats, obviously, with their Swarovski crystal flowers that mimic vintage flower clips. These are a lot more high-quality than a lot of flats out there retailing for equal prices, but you’ll have to deal with the elastic band heel, which is my only concern.
If you’ve never read the interview with Vera from several years ago on NYMag.com, you should. She makes me laugh.
