Whoa whoa whoa Louis Vuitton! This is such a departure from your other shoes, I don’t even know what to say! I’m surprised these got past the drawing board! Tiger-colored zebra shoes? Insane! Make the jump for more shots…
Chains and Bullets from Manolo

I was intrigued and a bit surprised when I saw this shoe in Manolo’s store. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him edge on McQueen territory so much.
I mean, of course it’s the classic Manolo shape, but the bullets are so beyond what I expect of Manolos!
As much as some people might find guns or bullets controversial in fashion, people are always going to want daring and edgy. These wrapped metal bullet-shaped beads look simple from far away, but give a bit of a shock close up.
A 4.5-inch covered heel elevates your calf to a sexy level so you can strut high in these edgy sandals.

Cole Haan’s Yellow and Green Nike Air Wedges

I’m loving the new Cole Haan shoes. Colorful, bright and fun, these springy wedges were displayed alongside bags with yellow trim to match. A smooth nappa upper reinforced with nylon, back zip and leather lining add comfort. There is a 3.5 inch cork and jute heel, but to me it looks like less because of the slight platform. I don’t mind the cork so much here because it’s such a thin strip, and the jute is actually a pretty design that looks a bit like herringbone.
The best part, of course, is Nike Air Technology, which Cole Haan has been using for ages. It makes typically hard-soled sandals very comfortable.
These shoes look soft, comfortable and perfect for spring. Cole Haan seems to be really trying to step up their trendiness level without sacrificing quality, and it seems to be working. Yes, you’ll pay a nearly-$200 price, but would you rather have your feet cut up with tough straps and hard soles when you have long summer city shopping expeditions and dates to go on?

Ooh, pretty!
If I had a kiln – oh, and a lot more free time than parenting normally allows, this is the type of metalwork as art-to-wear that I would love to be able to eventually produce.

Yes, I realize that Pantone released this press release months ago. But, mid-winter didn’t really feel like the right time to find the best examples of shoes in their 2011 ‘color of the year’.
The color in question: Honeysuckle.
Which, for those of us less picky about our nomenclature is a bright, vibrant, retro-80′s-trending, PINK!
