Carvela Green Go High Platform Sandals

posted by: freePOrnaoa in General, High heels, Sandals, Spring 2011 Shoes

Carvela strikes again. Last time we blogged about Carvela, it was a similarly high heel, but in a bit fussier satin.

This time we’re back with a hip, strikingly girl-about-town, trendy green stiletto sandal with lovely details (extended heel cap! gold trimming! creative faux-woven toe vamp! gold heel! platform!)

Green is all the rage this spring, so go high, go green, or go home, we say.

Hello, Cute! The Miu Miu Bow Studded Clog makes me happy, with its sophisticated clog styling and woven nappa leather, pretty blue color and flirty bow. The studs and wood are nice touches as well.

THis clog heel measures 115mm with a rubber sole and its color is named Denim.

Basia Zarzycka’s Exquisite Tudor Rose Mules

posted by: brianka in High heels, Mules

Please say ‘Hello’ to my newest shoe crush:

Basia Zarzycka Tudor Rose Mulles S003 £1695

“Intricate branches of snakeskin laurel leaves and berries meeting in the centre with a large petaled rose adorned with Swarovski jet stamens, embellish the uppers of this signature Dolphin Toe Mule supported on Daphne Jones medium heels and they are fully lined with silver foiled leather. Other features include, one central seam on the centre front and a small lip to hold the wearers in place when walking. Would also be fantastic just for display purposes.    Size 7. One of a Kind.(Via product description)

Handmade decadent loveliness, oh my!

Sadly, while these are effectively my size (I usually opt up to a 7.5 for extra toe wiggles, but I’d be willing to sacrifice that for these), they are not remotely in either my current budget or my overall-shoe-spending comfort-zone.

Therefore, this must end as yet another case of  unrequited shoe-love.  These will, however, be mentally added to my ever-expanding imagination’s dream closet.

DVF Volos

posted by: freePOrnaoa in General

This is the edgiest, coolest DVF shoe I’ve seen yet.

With leather triangular cutouts that serve both as laceholes and straps, the design is innovative and fun.

I like that this shoe will expose a lot of your foot. You’ll stay cool and look really sexy at the same time.

The cone-shaped heel is also pretty neat, wood/natural-colored on its profile and black on the other sides.

Last but not least, the rope tie adds to the ethnic edge of this shoe, and prevents it from looking too haughty or crazy. Grounding it to something natural, the rope makes this heel look much more summer, and means you can wear it with a dress with tan accents.

This is a picnic to party shoe, for sure.

Old Navy’s One Day Wonder $1 Flip Flop Sale

Okay, is anybody else creeped out by the Old Navy supermodelkin commercials? I get shivers anytime one of them shows on television; they are the stuff of nightmares and old Twilight Zone episodes.

Luckily, while this commercial is pretty flippin’ scary, there’s not a mannequin to be seen -- small favors, and all that.

So,  Old Navy has set this Saturday, May 21, for 2011′s “One Day Wonder”  sale.  Flip-flops, normally a budget-breaking $3.50, will be blowing out of the store for $1.00.  For those of you who, unlike me, veritably live in flip-flops, this is your annual opportunity to stock up on extra foam-rubbery summer slip-ons (Limit 5 pair per customer, solid colors only).

Be warned, however: If your town is anything like mine, there will be a line snaking around the store just to get inside for a shot at grabbing a few pairs for yourself.  Arriving early is advised, many stores will open as early as 7am; call your local store to confirm hours.
