Dior Tresse Sandal
posted by: freePOrnaoa in Christian Dior Shoes, General
It seems like front-interlacing sandals have been very in this summer. I just bought an ubercomfy, cute pair on sale from Earth that I posted yesterday. It seems like even though we’re living post-gladiator sandals, we still like a complicated-looking shoe with lots of straps.
But I wouldn’t wear my Earth flat sandals out on an important date with my man. For that kind of event, I like the edgy-yet-neutral Dior Tresse, and I wish it wasn’t out of my price range.
With snakeskin inside (according to the sales rep I talked to) and a purposefully stitched leather on the outside, this is a cute shoe, and would look hot with tight skinny jeans that were slightly cropped.
Dior Tresse Sandal, $1200, Dior flagship store, Midtown East.
A Website With Podiatrist-Approved Shoe Recommendations
posted by: freePOrnaoa in General
I am loving a website called Podiatry Shoe Review these days. Written by a doctor of podiatric medicine named Cathleen A. McCarthy, Podiatry Shoe Review recommends shoes that are good-looking and good for your feet, from a medical perspective.
I love that Dr. McCarthy is one of our readers and recently commented on one of my posts, which is how I found her website. Her wonderful website makes very specific recommendations for different types of ailments, and I highly recommend you go check it out now if you’ve got foot troubles. (more…)
Greet the Rain with Bows On: Juicy Couture’s Pretty Rainboots
posted by: freePOrnaoa in Juicy Couture Shoes
If you’re going to face the hurricane or tropical storm (depending upon where you are) this weekend, you might as well face them with the Shorty Bow Rainboot. The bright cerise color is just irresistible, as are the bows.
You can buy the pink online too, but aren’t you glad we’re here to report to you that there’s another color that isn’t sold online?
You can buy the black and blue shade in Juicy stores.
Juicy Couture Rainboots, $130, online and in Juicy stores.
Barneys Warehouse Sale: Starting Tomorrow Morning
posted by: freePOrnaoa in General
Everyone knows what a big deal the Barneys Warehouse Sale is. I saw it advertised in my elevator, on the little screen. On my WORK ELEVATOR, people! Obviously, the building does not want us to work. They want us to go to Barneys and shop.
I’ll probably be missing it this year, but you shouldn’t. One of the biggest reasons you shouldn’t miss it is because of the legendary shoes that will be there.
Witness, above, the Kirkwood Rodarte wedge that will set you apart from most everyone in the world, except those who can afford it at full price for $2790 or who are fast enough to get it on sale at the warehouse sale for $1119.
Racked has more deets at its website, but I advise you put on your flats and vamoose there from August 25 to September 5. Hours here.
J. Crew’s Latest Beauts vs. Banana Republic’s Mad Men Style
You didn’t think J. Crew was going to let itself be completely overshadowed by Banana’s Mad Men collection, did you?
Not to be outdone, it seems that J. Crew has launched a collection of classic shoes that any Joan Holloway would be proud to wear.
J. Crew Adrianna Satin Buckle Pump, $275, J. Crew stores and online. Available in roasted chestnut (pictured), getaway green (a deep green with a pinch of blue) and toasted honey (a mustardy yellow).
More classic pairs after the jump.
