Celebrating Spring with Sandals

posted by: Shomore in Sandals

Even though it’s finally spring, the weather outside still thinks it’s winter.  So to warm my chilly bones and grow my spirits, I present to you these gorgeous embellished sandals.  From left to right, this Steve Madden ‘Pharroh’  sandal looks luxurious enough to be worn by Cleopatra herself but at $79.95 with free shipping and returns at Nordstrom, it’s at a price point that’s very manageable.  Both the  Sam Edelman’s ‘Ross’ sandal ($99.95 with free shipping & returns) and the Joan & David ‘Kaycia’ sandal($174.95 with free shipping & returns) have enough sparkle that you can wear them to a spring/summer wedding at the beach.  Yet, they are versatile enough I can dress them down for everyday use as well.

Happy Spring Everyone!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!!  To honor this lucky day, let’s celebrate with the ever so versatile green color.  What I love about green is that it compliments natural earthy hues like brown and blue perfectly but also can give the bland brown, white, or black outfit that pop of color.   And if you are into color blocking with bright colors, try fuschia or yellow for a trendsetting look.

Now, onto the shoes.  First up, for  a spring wedding or for work, these classic peep toe  Miu Miu Snake Pumps ($580 at Net-A-Porter) have me salivating.  Too formal for you? (more…)

Manolo’s New Brights

posted by: freePOrnaoa in General, Manolo Blahnik Shoes

The weather has been unseasonably warm in New York the past week, and nothing makes me feel like spring like beautiful bright shoes. Can’t you just see yourself in your classic Burberry trench, wearing these bright blue Manolo Blahnik ‘BB’ babies and dancing through sprinkles of rain like Singin the Rain, beautiful as Catherine Deneuve in Les Parapluies de Cherbourg?  They are also available in pink (via Nordstrom),  purple (via Saks), yellow, and green (via Saks).

In the background,  the Sex and the City wedding shoe, the Hangisi, has also been updated in  bright new shades.   It can be difficult to find the new shades online. I was able to locate a green one at Barneys, a hot pink version at Shop Savannahs, the pale pink (via Neimans) , and Saks carries the blue satin version.

It may be 4.25-inch heel, but that Hangisi is so stunning, so timeless and so trendy in its new colors, I know it will be flying off the shelves … or sofa chair, as this display would have it.

Prada’s Spring Sandal will Rev You Up

posted by: Shomore in General

It’s finally Friday!  Are you ready to have a fun filled weekend or kick off the weekend early? If not, my goal is to get your engines revved up with these vintage auto-inspired Prada sandals, complete with tail lights and flames.  Okay, Prada may not necessarily have me kicking my heels into high gear (more like neutral) due to the low versatility and seriousness factor for these shoes, but they are certainly fun shoes to look at.  Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Pre-order Prada’s spring auto inspired shoes at Nordstrom;  Prices range from $590 – $990
