A Late Louboutin Valentine?

posted by: freePOrnaoa in General on February 14th, 2010

So yes, it’s the day after Valentine’s Day, technically. But all you lovers are probably still curled up in bed full of dinner and chocolates and wine this morning at 1 a.m. So I’m going to prepare a little Louboutin post for you to think about when you wake up from your love nest.

And if your lover should happen to have not gotten you what you want, why not take a stroll over to my favorite Louboutin boutique ever, on Madison Avenue and 75th, right next to the Whitney? This little gem of a store is an intimate little subterranean cavern full of lush red carpet and sparkly, outrageous, I-Shouldn’t-But-Oh-Yes-I-Should (!!!) things. You will be spoiled by the attentive sales representatives (unlike the sad Barneys experience I had recently while trying on Louboutins in their extensive Louboutin salon) and each pair of shoes is displayed like a candy gem wrapped up particularly for you. It feels more like a small town boutique with giant pricetags than a cold New York City emporium.

You can make the Glittered Platform Pump (I believe also known as the Lady Lynch Strass) your very own there. Or stay at home and order it from Bergdorf for $775 online!

Perhaps the Simple Pump in Red Patent for $565 will quell your Valentine’s desires?

The Satin Ernesta Bow for $875?

Or how about the Fifre for $1195?

Maybe the Miss Chief for $795?

And what am I treating myself to for Valentine’s Day? My boyfriend already took me out for a delicious dinner, so I’m using my Hayden-Harnett credit for a lovely purple purse and my Gilt Groupe gift certificate for a pair of opera length black leather gloves. What can I say, I’d much rather buy accessories than clothes most of the time, and I’d probably walk around in a well-draped, belted burlap sack in order to wear gorgeous shoes and bags all the time.

Happy February 15, everyone! I christen it the Post-Valentine’s Day when presents to yourself might be the sweetest gift of all!

i wanted one pair of outrageously expensive shoes because my entire life revolves around shoes. i let myself get one pair of louboutins. got it out of my system, and i feel much better. it was silly though. my boyfriend and i split them for me for christmas. we each got a shoe. one $400 shoe. gorgeous though. the new simple pump in yellow.

Isn't that really just a fantasy shoe? Give it a wait, I have a feeling the price will come down eventually.
