Alaia Lasercut Haircalf Suede Booties

Alaia cutout calf hair platform pumps $2375 via Net-a-porter.

These layered, laser-cut overlay booties almost make me wish I could get married all over again just to have an excuse to own them.  They visually scream,  “Unforgettable fall wedding.”  Lucky, indeed, is the gal who scores these  beautiful ankle boots to wear under her wedding gown.

Just look at the close-up detail on these:

They are breathtakingly beautiful, and not a rhinestone to be found anywhere.

I don’t even know who that lucky bride is, but I am already more than a teensy bit jealous of her wearing these fabulous shoes. Here’s hoping the rest of her wedded life is a spectacular as her wedding shoes.

V – I'll get a peek when I can. As always, so many shoes, so little time to write about them. *sigh*

Ok, it's official, I'm already married so I won't be adding these to my collection. I did, however, just receive my new Louboutin 'Sultane' boots and am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my Fendi 'Vertigo's', so I'll be okay for a few days. Galligator, check 'em out if you get a second.

White over black with would kind of rock in these (I'm in love with black & white shoe combos, so that would be a personal weakness). But I have one pair of white sandals that get warm weather wear. The only reason I haven't gotten rid of my one pair of white boots is because my daughter claims to want them when she is older – I just find it difficult to match the pure white to any of my outfits. It's just so much tougher for me to wear white boots than brown, black, or red. Even my ivory boots (Dr. Martens) are only worn occasionally.

GOD…I was staring at these at net-a-porter for longer than I should have been, attempting to decide, 1. Do I like them? and 2. If I DO like them, what would I wear them with? Galligator NAILED it!!!!! These would be stunning for a fall wedding and not much else, in my mind. I also think that Alaia performing this boot in white was smart because, I dunno, in black or brown it probably wouldn't have the punch that it does in white?
