Alexander Wang’s Cutout Heel

Just a quick question for our readers:
How do you feel about Alexander Wang’s cutout heel?
Alexander Wang ‘Anouck Beatle’ boot $595 at Shopbop, Barneys & Alexander Wang
(It also comes in black)
Alexander Wang ‘Kori Chain’ flat booties $550 at Shopbop & Alexander Wang.
I am still mulling this over, but am curious what others think.

Wait, I changed my mind. I’m a heavy walker & that heel doesn’t look safe enough for my tastes. I’m more than slightly afraid that I would snap that baby right off on the downstep, even with a little bit of what looks like metallic reinforcement.

It kind of reminds me of those platform shoes where they reduce the size of the platform so you can barely see it. It's playing tricks on your eyes! Tomfoolery, all of it.
