All I want for Christmas

…Is not actually shoes, for a surprising change of pace.
Sure, I’m always up for new, fun, flirty shoes. But, my Chrismas list this year is a bit more all over the place.
From the bookstore:
Absolute Death (Hardcover Collected Graphic Novels) $99.99
As a HUGE fan of Neil Gaiman’s particular brand of storytelling (he also wrote Coraline), this hardback anthology of past ‘Death’ storylines by DC/Vertigo tops my list. The Grim Reaper as a cool, philosphical, hippy-chick, goth-girl is not to be missed.
Next, glimpsed in Vegas, are two evening bags by the sometimes over-the-top, but always exuberantly feminine, Mary Frances:
This is just so girly-rocker-sweet; pardon me while I swoon….Love this.
Mary Frances ‘Urban Nature’ $174
Not quite as Rocker-chic as the black bag, but it just happens to perfectly match one of my favorite pairs of Betsey Johnson pumps, squee! :
Is it any wonder I am totally crushing on the matching bag?
Also on my list is this leather, steampunk, ‘chest harness’ hand-made by Velvet Mechanism ($55):
And this Metal Filigree ‘Kitty’ Venetian Carnivale mask ($138):
So, what’s on your list?

[...] Yay! I finally got me that copy of Neil Gaiman’s “Absolute Death” that I’ve been wanting – and at a 40% discount, too. No way I wanted to spend $100 on this, no matter how pretty and [...]

MM – I need to get out to Seattle next fall when my budget is better & learn how CL's fit on me before I let myself fall into that particular crush, lol. Good luck on yours, maybe they'll show up in your stocking? Anyway, until then, I have been (mostly) shopping in my closet with the occasional Macy's sales rack or Ross splurge. And I'm still trying to figure out who the best resource is on those laser cut metal masks are; I know there's also a seller on ebay, but the prices vary wildly depending on style & I may have to wait, again, on the budget freeing up as my auto loans all get paid off as the 2010 year progresses. But, moving toward debt-free is an exciting prospect, so I'm keeping my eye on the prize, if you will.
Oh, and – Michele – the Gaiman book is a HUGE, table-display quality edition & about 30%+ off right now at Amazon. I am sorely tempted to grab that now while it is on sale. I've been a Gaiman fan-girl since about '89 & issue #14 of Sandman. "The day I swapped my dad for 2 Goldfish" is one of my favorite kid's books ever, and "Chivalry" is just a great story for grown-ups. Loved 'American Gods' too, but haven't read it in a couple of years.
Anybody else need to start wrapping kids presents so it's not left to Xmas eve & a bucket of after-midnight margaritas?

I love the mask on your list. On my list are the Simple 100 Christian Louboutins, i am so in need of a basic pump for work and love the red soles.

Well…you must have good taste, because I like most of the stuff on this list! The black bag, the chest harness, the mask, and of course anything Gaiman gets my vote. Just finished re-reading American Gods the other day. Yummmm.
