Ask the ShoeBlogger: Where can I find leather nude knee high boots?

I need help. I have serious shoe fever for a pair of flat, perfectly sleek (no chunk heel, no buckles no bells and whistles) leather nude knee high boots. I saw them in a magazine and didnt think much of them until I realized that I couldnt get them out of my mind! They were somehow under 300 dollars, non patent nude (def nude not beige or tan) beautiful boots. Please help me find them! They were in one of those splurge/steal type of articles but I cant remember where! I have looked in every mag that I can think of and on every shoe site I could think of.
They kind of look like this except they were nude and not patent - Burberry Patent Leather Flat Boot.
Please help!

Dear Jocelyn:
My sincerest apologies for the delayed response. It has been extremely frustrating trying to locate the shoes you’ve mentioned. I thought that, with so many shoe choices out there, finding a pair would not be that difficult. Sadly, though I tried searching through magazines, countless shoe sites to think of, and even local shoe stores, I have not been up to my usual shoe snuff.
Happily, all hope is not lost. As the saying goes, two heads are better than one. I am calling on all shoe lovers to help Jocelyn participate in this hunt. For the shoe sleuth who helps find Jocelyn the shoes, I’ll be eternally grateful and shall think of a small reward.
And just in case your shoe appetite can be satisfied with something slightly different, may I offer these suggestions that I came across during my shoe search?
London Fog Wales Boot; $130 at Piperlime
Wales is definitely not leather nor nude. However, I’ve got to say I love the sleek shape of this boot and the slight heel. It’s very walkable and will do wonders for the arch on your foot. I also happen to think the price is really reasonable for an all weather, waterproof boot.
Loeffler Randall Matilde $695 at Shopbop
With Loeffler Randall, you’ll get a quality boot which will last a while, which helps average down the cost of this very understated but simply beautiful boot.
Roberto Cavalli Carne boot for $1799 at Zappos!
Okay, so a Cavalli boot is way out of 99.99% of the population’s price range, but I thought it would be fun to throw in a luxury shoe.
