…I was hoping you could clear something up for me. I love Anne Hathaway and I’ve always wondered who designed the shoes she is wearing in this picture. It is from the 2008 Venice Film Festival, if that helps.
Thank you!

Dearest Alexandra:
I was completely oohhing and awwing when I saw this dress on Anne Hathaway last year (the dress is by Versace if anyone is interested). For such a stunning dress, I was happy that the shoes were so classy and understated. They did not distract from the dress and all it’s beauty.
Unfortunately, I was unable to identify the exact shoe for you. By now there is a high likelihood that the style has been discontinued by whoever the designer is too. But, since I love solved mysteries, if there are any shoe readers out there who have better id’ing skills, please leave us a comment. First person to correctly id the shoe gets a small prize from us.
However, I’d like to recommend an alternative shoe for you. They are the Via Spaga Lulus. Although these Via Spiga sandals are not nearly as high or strappy as Anne’s, I can personally vouch for these shoes. I wore them during my wedding photos since they were more comfortable than my ceremony/reception shoes and they are a good price for well constructed shoes from Italy. The gold tone has also served me well – I’ve since worn the shoes on several occasions, pairing the shoes with a red dress, black gown, etc.
Via Spiga Lulu for $97 at 6pm.com or $110 at Overstock.

Last year in France I bought pair of loafers that looked like Tod's but were considerably cheaper. The store owner told me they were in fact manyfactured in the same plant as Tod's. I managed to lose them in a hotel a few weeks ago, and can't remember the name of the shoe – does this ring a bell with anybody?

I am trying to find the clear platforms Anne Hathaway wore on Jimmy Kimmel Live 3/02/10. They are utterly fantastic and I want them for my wedding!!
If anyone knows where or how I can get these or something similar I'd greatly appreciate it!
Thanks

I did a modista search for "gold sandal" & got some similar styles, but not an exact match. Maybe we'll find something in the runway shots over at style.com or NYmag.com….

These seem familiar – now I have to see if my memory will come through on this. They remind me of Chanel or some of the Moschino that were out about a year ago. This is a toughy if it's out of stores. Now, it's off to wrack my brain.

I love the newest style in heels. The more straps the better! I have seen this particular style being worked quite a bit with womens shoes in Utah!
