Back on this Side of the Pond… Boot Weather!

Now that the excitement from Paris is fading away, and we’re getting solidly into November, the Northeast is settling into fall weather. Earlier this week it was warm, sure, but now that the cold has come, it looks like it’s here to stay. And you all know what that means.
Boots!!
The great fall weather footwear. And their season is upon us. Where to start looking for boots? Here are a couple suggestions.
There’s a good basic guide to boots here at About.com that’ll give you some tips on features to look for. At Zappos, there are 38 pages of women’s dress boots (at 99 per page, that works out to almost 3,800 boots!). If you’re looking for the trendiest boots for this season, try poking through this trend guide. And if what you’re after is the oh-so-now oxford bootie, here are a few suggestions, most of which shouldn’t set you back too far.
And I’m hoping to be reporting soon on several new pairs of boots (one ECCO pair that I’ve already got–stay tuned for an in-depth look at that brand–and one Giraudon pair that I hope will be mine by the end of the weekend.
Boot season is here, folks, and I for one couldn’t be happier.

My Favorite time also, and the boot selection this year is bigger and wider than ever before. The About.com article took me 3 hours to read. But i loved every minute of it.
