Paris Spring 2008 Fashion Week - Balenciaga Shoes
Posted on October 3rd, 2007 by Shomore under Balenciaga Shoes, Fashion WeekRemember these lego-colored pumps and the futuristic robot leggings from Balenciaga’s spring and winter 2007 collections? With Nicolas Ghesquière, the creative director of Balenciaga, you can always expect really interesting if not wearable footwear (unless you are Beyonce or one of the Olsen twins).

At the Spring 2008 show, Ghesquière did not disappoint. To you, I present the knee high gladiator sandals with a touch of Native American pattern woven in. The flowery runway carpet only adds to the craziness.

More demure are these Balenciaga peeptoe booties. Other than the heel being too skinny and high, I think that I might actually be able to wear these!

I disagree,
I really like what Nicolas Ghesquière is doing and I would wear these out. True, they may need a bit of toning down when released to the “normal” consumers. But they’re not so far away from perfection…

I’m a mother of two—entrepreneur in my 30’s and I would definitely buy the Balenciaga knee high gladiator sandals! I’m actually obsessed with them…I saw something similar in a Jennifer Lopez video (I think it was “Que Hiciste”) she was wearing them in a camel color…I’ve been looking for them ever since!
I will wear them with a mini dress to go out with my hubby!!! I can’t wait!
