Biviel Shoes
Posted on March 1st, 2007 by shoesense under FlatsWonder what to do with all those Zappos dollars you’re going to get during our March madness? (Well, apart from the vegan shoes so eloquently presented by my co-blogger)? I know you all have your favorite shoe brands and styles, but allow me the indulgence to plug for Biviel.
Now, this would NOT have been my first choice, had Zappos not decided to stop carrying Blay, which was (is) one of my favorite shoe brands–Spanish chic and sophistication at higher-than-average but still affordable prices. Still, Zappos has kept Biviel, the young and more affordable shoe collection from the owner and designer of Blay. The brand description reads, ‘The shoes are designed as ‘feminine relaxed’ to be flexible and comfortable but always elegant. The leathers are the softest Italian calfskins- the soles are rubber imported from Germany.’
And I’ve got to tell you, it’s the relaxed but comfortable sophistication that draws me to these Spanish brands. For example, you can try this Biviel spunky red leather slide, which will add some spring in your step and some fiery attitude to your heels. Yours for $136.

Or these pretty skimmers, available in black or brown, with excellent arch support and the reasonable price tag of $129:

I’m also loving these gold flats with knotted bow and cutout vamp detail, and I guess it’s pretty clear by now that you can’t face this spring without a heartmelting, sunloving pair of golden flats in your wardrobe. Priced $136:

So, if you want to try a new brand but are not sure how to go about it–you may want to give these a try. After all, returns are free with our old friend Zappos, so nothing to lose, right?

I can personally vouch for these babies, too. I’ve got a very comfy and stylish pair of Biviel brown flats with little copper disc embellishments all over. I did find that they ran a tiny bit small, so you might want to do the time-honored Zappos technique of ordering two sizes and returning the one that doesn’t fit.

Hi
I bought a pair of Biviel boots. I normally do not spend that much on boots, but wanted a pair that would last that looked great. I wore them 6 times. They were so uncomfortable that it felt like my foot was broken when I took them off. The last time I wore them the sole of the shoe came right off. That is when I noticed the heel was plastic (not even wood).
Also, I thought I was buying a good quality European boot and then I found a sticker on the bottom that said Made in China.
Maybe I just got a bad pair because everyone else seems to say good things about the Biviel brand. I am going to try to take them back to the store I bought them, but I bought them so long ago I am not hopeful.

I don’t usually reply to posts but I will in this case. I’ve been experiencing this very same problem with a new WordPress installation of mine. I’ve spent weeks calibrating and getting it ready when all of a sudden… I cannot delete any content. It’s a workaround that, although isn’t perfect, does the trick so thanks! I really hope this problem gets solved properly asap.
