Buckles, buckles, buckles for everyone!

The buckle is a piping hot accessory for our shoes–nevermind it’s been around for ages. No designer has been able to resist its allure.
One buckle is good, but two is even better (as evidenced by these humble Danskos), and triple, why, is positively fabulous. Haute couture seems particularly fond of the triple-buckle motif. To boot: the triple-buckle Marc Jacobs flats I discussed only a couple of days ago. Chloe also has some triple-buckle power (somebody on Stylepad saw those triple-buckle boots on Kate Hudson, but I can’t find the post now).
However, these Chloe Mary-Janes to-the-third-power flats fall into the category, ‘Would you wear these?’ In theory, the combination red vintage leather + Mary Jane design=cuteness (why, I myself own two pairs of red Mary Janes, even though, mercifully, I don’t live in a perpetual Little Red Riding Hood story). These, on the other hand, are not exactly cute–rather, edgy, innovative, and, let’s face it, hard to wear (I’m frowning trying to imagine them accessorized with anything in my wardrobe… I’m having a really hard time). Oh, not to mention that they’re a trifle too expensive–abut $650, if my Euro-Dollar conversion is correct.
So… would you wear these?
