Alaïa Sandals, in Glorious Red
posted by: freePOrnaoa in Alaia Shoes, General
Alaïa is not for sale on Bergdorf’s website. There may be varying reasons for this — it may be considered too expensive to sell online, revealing the prices, or it may be in such limited stock that putting it online may be pointless.
However, when one walks past the windows at Bergdorf, the most stunning things in the windows are Alaïa.
So I took a trip up to the illustrious second floor to see the red coils of energy that are this Alaïa shoe myself.
It is indeed lovely, and soft, and sexy as can be.
And it can be all yours for $1,775 (!!!).
Sometimes I dream about owning a pair of Alaïa shoes, an Alaïa belt.
It is too much to dream of ever owning an Alaïa dress. Both for my wallet, and for my fashion sensibilities. What shoes do I currently own that could pair up well with an Alaïa dress? I own Manolos, but none of them could stand up to the Alaïa dresses I’ve seen. Maybe a Kirkwood, maybe a Dior, maybe a Hardy.
For now, I’ll just dream of someday owning these shoes, which would make any dress look like a million bucks.
Purchase your Alaïa red-hot open-toe sandals in-store at Bergdorf Goodman.
Azzedine Alaïa’s Feather Embellished Shoes
posted by: freePOrnaoa in Alaia Shoes, General
Azzedine Alaïa is an icon of the 80s. Ah, how I love the feminine detailed clothes and his shoes. In particular, these shoes: the Feather Embellished Shoes.
There is enough strappage going on here around the ankle and the front of the foot to keep it on, but the question is, can you balance???
Some have called it the feather duster shoe, or the feather headdress shoe. I call it fabulous, but don’t think I could pull it off!
Azzedine Alaïa Feather Embellished Shoes, on sale for $886.00 at Farfetch.com
Alaïa Lace Up Ankle Boots
posted by: Shomore in Alaia Shoes
Happy Halloween Shoe Lovers! For those dressing up, what costume are you wearing including, of course, your shoes? If cost were not an object, I’d want to be a witch simply because these Alaïa lace up suede ankle boots ($1640 at Net-A-Porter) have absolutely bewitched me. Sure, the toe might not be long or pointy enough, but I think I could pull it off, especially since I love the details on this sole, including the ruffled trim, the lace up, and the zipper on the back.
Also, if you are in the mood for a trick, today is your final chance to enter our Naturalizer shoes giveaway, where you could win any pair of Naturalizer shoe you’d like, up to $150 in value.

Alaia cutout calf hair platform pumps $2375 via Net-a-porter.
These layered, laser-cut overlay booties almost make me wish I could get married all over again just to have an excuse to own them. They visually scream, “Unforgettable fall wedding.” Lucky, indeed, is the gal who scores these beautiful ankle boots to wear under her wedding gown.
Carine Roitfield – I love my Alaia heels
posted by: HerberWellss in Alaia Shoes, General, I really love my shoe
Carine Roitfield of Vogue Paris is considered a style icon within the fashion industry.
She has a pair of Azzedine Alaia lace up sandals that she has worn several times. They were £705 at Browns but are no longer available. Here is the shoe.
Here are the outfits.
AMFAR Charity Luncheon 2008
Wild Grass Premier 2009
Cinema Against Aids Gala
Dolce Gabbana Party 2009
I am not sure when this was taken, but I think it was Paris Fashion Week 2009.
When I look at the shoe in the top photograph I think they are heinous, but seeing the way she has worn them I think they might not be so bad. What do you think?
No, they are awful.
