If you’re in the market for a pair of unassuming, low-profile, black patent peep-toe flats or low wedges, boy, is this your season! Let’s start with these:

Um… methinks I’ve seen these peep-toe low wedges elsewhere on the high street:

Of course, if you don’t care for the wedge, we’re more than happy to oblige:

…which are virtually indistinguishable from these:

And of course, we got you covered if you want something less shiny:

Or without the little vamp detail:

Or with just a bit of shine–say, you want patent only on the wedge? No problem!

Or was it that you wanted a higher wedge? No worries, we got you covered:

Cast (in order of appearance):
- Marc by Marc Jacobs black patent skimmer, $315;
- Bunni by Steve Madden, $49.95 (on sale);
- DKNY ‘Jodi’ Peep-toe Flat for $228.95;
- Gabriella Rocha ‘Lexi’ flat for $44.95;
- Belle by Sigerson Morrison black leather skimmer, $298.95;
- SM New York ‘Blasstt’ for $40.95;
- BrunoMagli ‘Nisako’ for $213.95;
- Taryn Rose ‘Daelyn’ for $495.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Christmas is in the air, and I know you’re already planning your various holiday outfits: the cheerful yet still sober one for the office party, the relaxed and stylish for the family-friends combo, the cute and sexy for that special someone (Don’t deny it!) I have JUST the shoes for at least 2 of the three occasions (your style, your pick): these BrunoMagli festive pumps, ‘Asia,’ available on Zappos for about $200 (down from $268). They are beautiful, they are comfortable, they are well-made, they are bright and cheerful–I say, let the festivities begin! |
BrunoMagli Latte Skimmers

God, I love these skimmers. I loved the green version, and I love this ‘latte’ version even more. They’re BrunoMagli ‘Revelin’ nappa leather flats, with leather flower detail on the vamp, and a hefty 65% discount on Zappos ($87, down from $244). The simplicity and elegance of the lines, the cuteness of the detail, the lingering promise of comfort…aaaah! I still have my reservations about BrunoMagli shoes (often too narrow, too constricting), but I’m itching to try these ones–they look positively delicious. |
Shoes so edible I can’t stop salivating
posted by: shoesense in Bruno Magli Shoes, Flats, Marc Jacobs Shoes
Every once in a while I bump into a pair of shoes that are simply too adorable to pass up. I mean, they are SO darn delicious I want to order them for lunch. With a side of strawberry and cream, if that’s possible, thank you. And a glass of something bubbly and refreshing.
These Pedro Garcia ‘Iara’ flats are part of this select group of (quasi) edible shoes—I mean, c’mon, can you ramp up the cuteness factor more than this? Pink satin? velvet trim and bow? round toe? flats? You secretly want to have them for dessert, too. I just know it. A pretty expensive dessert, that’s true ($379, ayyy!) but hey, one fit for a princess.

These flats remind me A LOT of these BrunoMagli ‘Reizel’ flats, with a slightly more bearable price tag ($175 on sale on Zappos). Which in turn remind me A LOT of these other Marc Jacobs cross-bow grosgrain cross-bow (see below; unfortunately, I don’t have a link since I haven’t been able to find them for sale anywhere on the net–if you do know of a place, by all means, do let me know!)
I’ve coveted both the BrunoMagli (in bone leather) and the Marc Jacobs (in white kidskin) for such a long time, that next time I find them on sale, I might as well snatch them, roll them in vanilla and honey, and have myself some crepes for Christmas brunch. Yes, they are that good!

Sale Alert: Brunomagli ‘Rosula’ skimmers 72% off
posted by: shoesense in Bruno Magli Shoes, Flats
These adorable canvas with kid leather trim skimmers from Brunomagli are today 72% off, retailing for just under $75! (aah! I heart Zappos!). The style is typical Brunomagli–simple yet sophisticated, breezy yet elegant.. Given the brand, you can expect top-notch quality. A word of advice, though., for those of you with wider feet: this is not for you. I have a pair of Brunomagli in my size and let me tell you, they do run narrow–I have a little bit a problem with my medium foot, and I plan to have them stretched.
