D&G Floral Printed Wonders
posted by: designer in Dolce & Gabbana Shoes
D&G has done wonders with floral printed shoes. Normally I am not a huge fan of floral prints because, well … they remind me a lot of the Easter dresses I used to see in my youth. These pastel watercolor prints were worn by older ladies of the sort who liked their hair blue and their candy sticky, covered in lint, and hiding in the bottoms of their purses. Those are not very stylish connotations, as I’m sure you’ll agree. D&G, however, is able to change my mind about a number of things, including flowers. I find these gorgeous Floral Print Pumps in Variante Abbinata ($416.50 at Zappos) an absolute revelation.
I love, especially, the two toned appeal on the vamp. (more…)
Love for Dolce & Gabbana Lace Ankle Boots

So okay, my boot fetish is still going strong. It’s really not my fault. I mean, if we’re going to blame anyone, we ought to blame Dolce & Gabbana, and the things the brand does with lace. Seriously, look at these Lace Ankle Boots ($520.99 at Saks). Can you really blame me? They’re so adorable, so dainty, so sleek, so chic!
FYI and by the bye, they are also on sale. Saks has tons of shoes on sale, as a matter of fact, and these boots just happen to be down from $745, so if it’s your pleasure, you can save over two hundred dollars on these right now. That’s crazy awesome.
There’s something so decadent and dramatic about the full coverage of lace on these boots. Lace is so feminine, as it is here, yet the boot is powerful as well, not to mention oozing a subtle kind of sex appeal. (more…)
D&G’s Candy Coated Pumps

D&G, Dolce & Gobbana’s more youthful line, takes a basic black high heeled shoe and turns it into a sweet sprinkled dream with these gorgeous, brightly colored, completely magical D&G Candy Coated Pumps ($796 at Zappos).
I think these D&G pumps are adorable. I mean, they are just the cutest things I have ever seen. It’s so easy to design and market a classic black pump. Every woman needs a pair, most of us have multiple pairs, and we’ll most likely by lots more (more…)

We’re bringing you some Dolce & Gabbana deliciousness from Nordstrom’s live designer shoe sale. And look, I have a secret to tell you: I’ve fallen in love. It’s real this time. Every other time was just infatuation, I know that now. I want to pledge myself to Dolce & Gabbana’s Lace Overlay Satin Mary Janes ($489.90 at Nordstrom). I promise to love, honor, pamper, and show off these shoes, until death or broken heel do us part.
I am not even kidding. We’ve already established that I love Mary Janes, and these should go in the designer shoe Hall of Fame for most perfect pair of Mary Janes ever in existence. The lace overlay is what is really killing me, but I promise, the death is so sweet. (more…)
Happy Birthday Stefano Gabbana

Molto Sexy turns 48 today. I find it interesting that his education is in graphic design, rather than fashion design. He met Domenico Dolce in 1980 and began working together in 1982. This creative partnership started with them as a romantic couple, a great business plan, a lot of style and goals to retire at 40. They changed their mind. In 2005, Stefano and Domenico separated as a couple but continue to work together as business partners and friends. They have opened Via Spiga 2, an accessory store that features several emerging designers and a new avenue for creativity.
The company has not been without controversy. The term “raunchy” has been used to describe their ads. They pulled one photo from the Spanish market after an huge uproar. Stefano was featured wearing a pair of underwear and stilettos in W magazine. (I read that article while getting my hair colored a couple of years ago, and found it odd.) A few years ago he went public about his views of same sex parents, which I found interesting – he thinks a child should have both a mother and father.
Stefano has about 53,000 following him through his personal Twitter account, which apparently is quite entertaining. I may sign up for it. The first thing he does is check the Twitter accounts realizing it is essential in reaching the label’s followers. Incidentally, the company Twitter account has 40,000.
Let’s look at some Dolce&Gabbana.
