6pm.com Sale: Up to 80% off LAMB, Zanotti, & more

I don’t usually like the phrase “Go, Shop, Save” since it normally involves a lot more spending to ‘get’ the supposed ‘saving’ of money. But, at 80% off of some items this is a great time to look and see if any of the items that were unreachable at $100, $300, $400 are now within reasonable prices for those of us on serious budgets.

My recurring crush, the Harajuku Lovers ‘Paley’ is 20 bucks – yes, $20. Can we say, ‘Insane and tempting clearance prices!’ Holy cow, Christmas may be affordable after all.

This LAMB ‘Hip’ oxford also caught my eye at $120 down from $400. I love sexy oxfords for fall and winter outfits. There are also about 2 dozen other LAMB styles (Primarily hot, strappy sandals) on clearance as well.

And, let’s not forget Giuseppi Zanotti. This Giuseppi Zanotti E90172 is a great strappy platform that needs an appreciative home. This baby is $175 – down from $875 original retail. Check out the 6pm.com sale for even more styles.

So, what are you waiting for? These 6pm clearance specials tend to sell out quickly!

Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show: Steamy Fashion & Fab Shoes

posted by: Shomore in Giuseppe Zanotti Shoes

Last week the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show was on TV. In case you missed it, you can watch the full show online over at CBS.  While shoes weren’t the main attraction, there were plenty of fabulous and fierce shoes displayed on the runway that we feel compelled to highlight.  Now I can’t say for sure, but it looks like many, if not all, of the shoes were designed by Giuseppe Zanotti (in both retail and modified for the runway form).  Have a look…

Giuseppe Zanotti I90108 Cut Off Bootie; Available at Endless.com for $1150

Giuseppe Zanotti I90178 Open Toe Wedge Sandal ;Available at Endless.com at $992 or Zappos.com for $836

Giuseppe Zanotti I96118 Platform Pump; Endless.com at $536

The similiar looking Zanotti Strappy Sandal, which is being sold at Saks for $775.

Giuseppe Zanotti I96214 Pump ; Endless.com at $950

Giuseppe Zanotti Women’s I97092 Stars Detailed Boot at Endless.com for $1360

Giuseppe Zanotti Women’s I90123 Sandal; At Endless in white for $695 Endless.com at 695.00 (USD) (white) or Zappos.com for $556

Giuseppe Zanotti I90179 Platform Sandal ;At Endless.com for $667 (black)

Other shoes on the runway which were fascinating to look at but perhaps a bit too flamboyant to be produced in real life included these two numbers:

And finally, the Examiner had some interesting factoids about the show. My favorite facts were:

  • The Daily News reported that more than 100 pounds of body glitter were used.
  • Love those Hair Do’s? They used 124 feet total of faux hair!
  • It  took 200 hundred hours to make all of those fantastic Angel wings!
  • Marisa Miller dazzled as she flaunted the Harlequin Fantasy Bra which was encrusted with 150 carats!
  • After giving birth to her 4th child less than six weeks ago, Heidi Klum was confident and brave enough to walk the runway amongst some of the slimmest girls out there.  Heidi, you look wonderful!

Shoes of the 2009 AMA’s

I am not much of a celebrity watcher. But, as might be expected, I am a shoe-watcher. So, despite my general cluelessness on who’s who these days in Hollywood, I love looking at the fashion photos of red-carpet events like yesterday’s AMA’s.

By the way, it drives me nuts that you can get fashion coverage of what folks wore, but they almost never mention the shoes as a part of this!!!

Am I the only person driven bonkers by this oversight?

Now I am left trying to wrack my brain in an attempt to remember who makes which shoe, etc. It’s enough to give a girl a migraine.

So, a quick rundown of some of the shoes seen on the AMA red carpet along with who makes them…in cases where my memory is actually serving me today. (Celeb photos are c/o Huffington Post & Popsugar)

Kristen Bell in Christian Louboutin:

Christian Louboutin ‘Archidisco’ $995

Colbie Caillat in what looks an awfully lot like a non-platform version of Louboutin’s ‘Ambro’ lace pump:

Christian Louboutin  ‘Ambro’ $825
(A similar budget style is available here.)

Alicia Keys…I should know this shoe & it’s driving me nuts. Somebody help me since my memory has completely betrayed me on these brilliant blue sandals:

Rihanna, sporting the Marchessa cut-out dress we saw recently. Love it or hate it, these white ankle-strap pums paired beautifully with this dress. (No, I haven’t figured out the maker of these shoes yet, either.)

Leona Lewis in chain-bedecked booties.

While her boots are probably not the exact ones I am showing here, these are the closest I could find on at the moment to a match for her booties:

Bakers Shoes ‘Julee’ (Another similar style is ‘Flash’ by Dolce Vita)

And I’ll end this with another shoe for whom I can’t find the maker, but have found a few strappy-alternatives that I would be just as happy to wear.

Carrie Underwood:

If you like these uber-strappy sandals, maybe one of these would also tempt you:

Sigerson Morrison ’9438′

Guiseppe Zanotti Strappy Leather Sandal

Dior Cartagena Sandals

Edited to add: Found the Jimmy Choos at Bluefly!!!!

Jimmy Choo ‘Verity’ $876 $1095

This Week in Shoes

Shoewawa has your weird shoe of the week here. The ‘Mojito’ shoe was designed by architect Julian Hakes. It takes it’s architectural, minimalist styling seriously:

Shoewawa also has a quick 411 (c/o Vogue UK) on the new Choo 24/7 line for Jimmy Choo -- set for release Spring 2010.

Janet Jackson chairs an amFar (AIDS) charity auction during Milan fashion week.

Among other items auctioned at the event were a pair of rainbow-studded Guiseppi Zanotti boots commissioned for Michael Jackson’s London O2 tour.  The boots fetched 10,000 euros at auction.

Video coverage of the auction including a peek of the coveted boots:

And finally c/o People online & the Bonnie Hunt Show, Tim Gunn is not of fan of Michelle Obama’s Crocs:

Tim Gunn is not loving the 1st Lady's Crocs.
