Manolo’s New Brights

posted by: freePOrnaoa in General, Manolo Blahnik Shoes

The weather has been unseasonably warm in New York the past week, and nothing makes me feel like spring like beautiful bright shoes. Can’t you just see yourself in your classic Burberry trench, wearing these bright blue Manolo Blahnik ‘BB’ babies and dancing through sprinkles of rain like Singin the Rain, beautiful as Catherine Deneuve in Les Parapluies de Cherbourg?  They are also available in pink (via Nordstrom),  purple (via Saks), yellow, and green (via Saks).

In the background,  the Sex and the City wedding shoe, the Hangisi, has also been updated in  bright new shades.   It can be difficult to find the new shades online. I was able to locate a green one at Barneys, a hot pink version at Shop Savannahs, the pale pink (via Neimans) , and Saks carries the blue satin version.

It may be 4.25-inch heel, but that Hangisi is so stunning, so timeless and so trendy in its new colors, I know it will be flying off the shelves … or sofa chair, as this display would have it.

Twilight Wedding Shoe: Blahnik’s Swan

posted by: HerberWellss in General, High heels, Manolo Blahnik Shoes, Pumps

I have seen about 20 minutes of one Twilight movie.  The one where she can’t decide between the vampire and the werewolf.

Just between you and me,  the werewolves seemed to be lots more fun than that morose vampire.  They got to run around the forest, jump off cliffs into a lake, ran around without their shirts, and were better looking.

So in the last Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn, the girl marries the morose vampire.  Anyways, I have seen several articles about the wedding outfit.  I gotta tell ya, the shoes are gorgeous.

Swan by Manolo Blahnik $1295 at Neiman Marcus

These are available in white, black and cranberry.

Blahnik hit a home run with the blue satin shoes Carrie Bradshaw  wore in SATC. I expect these to be just as popular.

Manolo in Two Shades of Purple

posted by: freePOrnaoa in Manolo Blahnik Shoes

I’ve always liked a ribbon shoe. My favorite was a black shoe very similar to this, that tied with a black velvet ribbon.

So I’m happy to see a similar shoe in purple. And not just that, but if you look closely, in two shades of purple!

The heel is very thin, so this is going to be a little rickety. But for that color, it might all be worth sacrificing…

I believe this beauty was called the Adrianna.

Bergdorf Shoe Sale: Manolo, Louboutin, Dior On Sale

Bergdorf’s sales are always a wonderful opportunity to add something of long-lasting value to your collection.

I believe that jewel embellishments on shoes are something worth betting on.

You will always look pretty in an appealing lavender, which is Bergdorf’s trademark color on all its bags, after all (or a sizzling hot pink, the other color this shoe comes in, though not at Bergdorf), with pretty little jewels tinkling on your foot to draw attention to it.

There are so many shoes on sale, it’s a bit overwhelming looking through them, but I believe you can do it, ShoeBlog readers. After all, there are Manolos, Louboutins and Diors on sale online!!!

To shop the shoe sale, go here.

Manolo Satin Crystal-Strap Sandal, in Lavender. Originally $895, on sale for $599 at BergdorfGoodman.com.

Manolo Blahnik Ducci Heels: Frosty Flower Power

Manolo Blahnik Ducci Heels

There’s a reason Manolo Blahnik shoes are considered the crème de al crème of all shoes, everywhere. I mean, even if they aren’t your favorite, you have to give the brand some serious props. One reason why is because of these Manolo Blahnik Ducci Heels ($1,495 at Barneys), which are just seriously drop dead gorgeous. Forget Gucci, I am all about Ducci now. Okay, not really, I love Gucci, I was just going for the rhyme factor.

These are just gorgeous. If it’s not obvious, these caught my eye solely because of the strap. Those jeweled flowers are so beautiful. (more…)
