Manolo Blahnik Cuticula Booties: Too Cute
posted by: designer in Manolo Blahnik Shoes
There’s nothing like a little Manolo Blahnik goodness in time for the holidays, you know what I’m saying? I’ve been mooning around the shops, mentally adding items to my “I’d Die to Have This” list, and I have to tell you, Manolo Blahnik’s Cuticula Booties ($539 at Barneys) are at the top of that list right now. It doesn’t hurt that Barneys has them on sale, marked down from $895. Frankly, even if they were still at full price, I’d be just as mad for them. “Cuticula” is an apt name: to make a little pun, they are just too, too cute.
Multi strapped shoes are so in right now, and I love seeing the Manolo take on the trend. This shoe, especially, is seriously unique. (more…)
Manolo Blahnik Nesta Fur Trim Bootie

We have a very interesting highlight featured in Nordstrom’s live designer shoe sale: the Manolo Blahnik Nesta Fur Trim Bootie ($769.90 at Nordstrom). Now, this is the kind of shoe I like to see. Call me crazy, but I think all truly trendsetting fashion should be at least a little controversial. If someone’s not hating and someone else isn’t falling in love, then it’s simply not original enough.
That being said, let’s step back and take a look at these booties, shall we? The suede looks buttery both in color and texture. Even through the photographs, you can just tell the leather will feel soft and supple against your skin. (more…)
Manolo Blahnik Pascalare Lace Boots

In honor of the designer shoe sale going on live at Nordstrom, I’m going to be highlighting a few of the hottest and most surprising shoes featured today. You can save big on a lot of these buys, like the Manolo Blahnik Pascalare Over the Knee Stretch Lace Boots ($624.90 at Nordstrom). Now, I love Manolos. I know Manolos. And when I first saw these, I did not realize they were Manolos. I thought there was a mix up somewhere. That just goes to show that just when you think you have the design aesthetic of Manolo Blahnik down to a science, the flip gets switched on you.
Now, aside from the fact that these boots are a whopping 40 percent off, there are many other features that make them exquisite and drool-worthy as well. (more…)
Manolo Blahnik Campy Mary Janes
posted by: designer in Manolo Blahnik Shoes
Like many other women, I first fell in love with Manolo Blahnik shoes way, way back in the day, when Carrie Bradshaw introduced them to all us regular girls. I mean, I’ll be honest, prior to Sex and the City, I probably thought “Manolo” was some kind of ethnic food. What can I say? I was sheltered. I’m forever thankful to HBO, however, because now I can properly worship these Campy Mary Janes ($645 at Barneys). But campy? Honey, not quite. How about classic?
See, I adore Mary Janes. I’ve been that way since I was a little girl, prancing around in black patent leather baby Janes. What I love about these in particular has a lot to do with why I love Manolo Blahnik designs. (more…)

One thing that is as inevitable as the changing of the seasons as they cycle through their yearly progress is the guarantee that I will have at least one unattainable* shoe-crush during each of these seasons. With Manolo Blahnik’s black-suede Kahika boots, I may have found said crush for this fall.
Romantic and Feminine? Check.
Unique, yet not-too-trendy? Check.
Oh, and flowers, flowers, flowers? Check, check, check.
$1445?!! Unfortunately, check.
<sadness>
Yes, indeed, I am well-and-truly crushed by these.
*Unattainable defined as, ‘I have too many other household or other budgetary priorities to currently allow myself to spend this amount of cash or credit on any pair of shoes, no matter how decadent and lovely they may be’. Those readers not so limited by budget or sticker shock may feel free to indulge to their delight; I can live vicariously through the knowledge that others are wearing these lovelies where I dare not.
