Sergio Rossi Crystal Spiral Heel Sandals

Luisaviaroma.com may just be my new favorite online store-that-I-can’t-afford-to-shop-at. The sound you are now hearing is me sighing wistfully.
Self-pity over; here’s a treat from the website in question. Set your eyes on this sparkling Sergio Rossi creation.
The strappy caged upper hints at the shape of a bow. Certainly these would be an amazing present for any shoe-lover to receive – no gift wrap required.
With that earthy bronze tone and glamorous shine, they are perfect for both summer and fall evenings in either dressy skirts or classic denim.
Plus, crystal embellishments have been steadily increasing in popularity with shoe designers throughout the year. As someone who has become exhausted with this years ‘studs, studs, and even more studs’ trend for shoes, sandals, and boots – crystals are a refreshing way to give a shoe added depth and dimension without resorting the the now-ubiquitous studs. And, if you find just one crystal style shoe or sandal that you adore, it will never go out of fashion – so long as there are romantic evenings with our hubbies or hotties to be had.
And, of course, there’s that show-stopping, corkscrew-stiletto heel. Both men and women are likely to find themselves suffering from sudden cases of whiplash after you stroll by.
Stunning; Simply stunning.

Selena Gomez in Sergio Rossi Gladiator Sandals
posted by: Shomore in Celebrity Shoe Style, Sergio Rossi Shoes

As I am not gifted with supermodel height, gladiator sandals are a very difficult style of sandal for me to wear. Too often, the ankle straps cut off my already petite legs. But, there is a way to wear the gladiator style and Selena Gomez shows us how. She wore these Sergio Rossi Fall 2010 Patent Leather Gladiator Sandals to the 2010 Teen Choice Awards. You would think the plummage and the straps would diminish Selena’s roughly 5″5 frame, but since they are a nude color, they blend well with her legs. The net effect is a very beautiful look with fierce, attention grabbing shoes.
Kristen Stewart

I remember watching Oprah interview someone, years ago - I think it was Robert DeNiro. The actor said that acting had to be the most boring job ever. It is mostly repetition and sitting around while they prepare for five minutes of action. Oprah went on to say that most actors, without scripts, are not particularly interesting people. When I look at Kristen Stewart, I think of that interview. She doesn’t seem all that thrilled to be in the public eye; doesn’t seem to want to be talking to interviewers; and doesn’t seem to appear to be very interesting. In all fairness, her interviews in magazines have painted a fairly harrowing existence with her fans and paparazzi stalking her. I would probably appear aloof, too.
I have seen her in something other than the Twilight sagas and she can act, but the role she has to play in these Twilight movies is dreadful. Anyways, Kristen Stewart is abroad with Taylor Lauchner as they attend “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” premiers and photocalls. Since she first appeared in the spotlight, she has really improved her image. Let’s see what she has shown us so far.
In Sydney she wore black Sergio Rossi ankle boots. Her skirt is a Jenni Kayne from Spring 2010. Her shirt is a grey Market Bridgette tee.
In Seoul she wore a black Prabal Gurung Fall 2010 long sleeved mini shimmering dress, a wide leather belt and Jimmy Choo ‘Quiet’ black sandals.
For the Rome Premiere she wore a Marchesa Fall 2010 dress. I have seen mixed reactions to this dress. She wore black satin Roger Vivier sandals to complete the look.
Taylor looks good enough to eat after dinner.
In Germany, she looked liked a million bucks. I just wish she would get rid of the tough guy pose. She wore a Versace Fall 2010 and Camilla Skovgaard button booties. Love both the dress and the shoes.
Close up of the shoes.
Nice touch with the black toenails. This is my favorite look so far.
Cannes 2009

Don’t you love Cannes? Eleven days of style and red carpet fashion. Oh Yeah, and films. Here are just a few of the shoes seen on the red carpet.
These shoes have been a hit with those who don’t want to be seen as playing it safe. The trouble is that they have been seen everywhere. Variations of this shoe have been seen on Madonna, Victoria Beckham, Kerry Washington (twice) and Isabelle Huppert.
One of the reasons I love Cannes is because it truly has an international attitude. The women don’t have that odd wax lip thing going on. The mature women don’t look like they have a Kabuki mask on. They have allowed themselves to age gracefully. Right now, Isabelle and Robin Wright Penn are my heros.
I Love, Love, Love the way Isabelle made an odball dress work with these shoes. Isabelle Huppert in Louis Vuitton Fall Collection 2009.
Kerry Washington at the Amend Charity Luncheon, Cannes 2009. Kerry wore a gold version of this shoe.
Asia Argento in Armani Prive
Charlotte Gainsbourg wore some amazing Balenciaga Heels. I have tried to get a large photo, but I am a techno dork, for which I appologize.
Sarah Marshall wore Sergio Rossi’s coil heel. Do you love these or what?? I didn’t think they were available yet.
Bae Doo-na from Air Dolls wore Steve Madden Gladiator Flats at a daytime press conference. She wore a gorgeous Doir dress later that night. (I will include the dress just because she looks so great in it. ) I love a girl who goes from Steve Madden to Dior.
Ya gotta include Phoebe.

- Ever wonder how shoes are made? Here’s a behind the scenes look at the making of Sergio Rossi’s red shoe. It really gives me more appreciation and helps me understand why certain shoes can be so pricey! [via Sergio Rossi]
- The next time someone questions you for that expensive shoe purchase, how about referring them to these hideous Xbox shoes. Sure, they are one of a kind, but I wouldn’t pay $50 for them, let alone $4,000. [via SoftSailor]

- Twinkletoes touched on recessionista show swapping, and now if you are in the UK, you can experience it as well. At the Shoe Spectacular Party, guests can meet fellow shoe lovers, swap shoes, receive makeovers, experience live music and see a fashion. When is this coming to my city?
