Although fall hasn’t hit us fully and properly (memo: what’s up, fall? Since when are you supposed to be all 70 degrees, sunsine and honey? just when, exactly, am I supposed to wear my booties?) — anyway–it’s clear that boots are on everyone’s mind these days.

Mine? Yes, if you care to qualify that: Stephen’s boots are on my mind. Stephen (Venezia), a company founded by Francesco Bertollo (who, worked, among others, with Michel Perry), makes beautiful, stylish, daring boots, with innovative designs and striking but wearable color combos, mostly in black, gray/silver, and electric red or blue. To wit:

This last one can be worn up or down–it clasps underneath or over the arch, you see. Ah, freedom!

So far I could only find Stephen Venezia footwear at Head Start Shoes (in Philadelphia, but they can also deliver), where the last model, for example, retails for $575. Have you seen them elsewhere? Let us know!
