This season was replete with wooden, cloggish-type platform wedges topped with Mary Jane buckle detailing. So, whether you’re getting a style that’s on the way out, such as:

Cynthia Vincent

Cynthia Vincent Mary Jane Wedge, $105 (down from $420) at Neiman Marcus

or

Louboutin wedge

Christian Louboutin Patent Mary Jane Wedge, $373 (half-off) at Neiman Marcus

Or you choose a style that’s on the way in:

Zanotti wedge

Giuseppe Zanotti Platform Mary Jane Wedges, $550.

Twiggy Patent Wedges

Posted by shoesense in Cynthia Vincent Shoes, Wedges

I’m going gaga over these Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent ‘Twiggy’ wedges. The towering stacked heel will put you 5 inches above us ordinary mortals, putting the world, quite literally, at your feet. Luscious white patent leather is complimented by a nonchalant ribbon tie over the Mary Jane strap. A delightful, flirtatious, heart-warming confection, guaranteed to brighten and heighten your spirits. Also available in black from Shopbop for the rather blood pressure-raising price of $357.

D’orsays for the Holidays

Posted by shoesense in Anthropologie, Cynthia Vincent Shoes, Pumps

I’m loving these "Imperial" half d’orsay pumps from Cynthia Vincent. It’s the delicate tooled leather, with beautiful details, in a marshmellow-cream color, or the silver whipstitching, or the wearable 2 1/4 inch stacked heel–or perhaps all of the above. Whatever it is, I would gladly dance my night away in these–preferrably paired with diaphanous, gauzy, flesh-hued gown with fluttering sleeves. And a tiara. Or not. At any rate, if you’ve got $400 to spare, they’re available at Anthropologie.
