Aren’t these absolutely scrumptious? True, impossibly tall, but flirty and feminine, something I’d expect Betty Boop to wear–if she were ever in color. The Giuseppe Zanotti sandals are $550 at Intermix.

Take a gander at these Giuseppe Zanotti beauties ($550 at Piperlime):
To quote the inimitable Dorothy Parker:
A single flower he sent me, since we met.
All tenderly his messenger he chose;
Deep-hearted, pure, with scented dew still wet–
One perfect rose.I knew the language of the floweret;
“My fragile leaves,” it said, “his heart enclose.”
Love long has taken for his amulet
One perfect rose.
You know, if someone sent me a rose in this form, I think I could be assured of his love. Men, take note!
One of my favorite places to take visitors in Philly is the so-called “Ghost Structure,” built where Ben Franklin’s house used to stand. As you can see, it’s a pretty neat idea, a symbolical structure outlining the shape of things past:
For some reason, that structure popped to mind when I recently saw these 6-inch wedges from Giuseppe Zanotti:
Just the outline of a proper shoe, if you ask me–a neat idea taken to extremes and which had better stayed applied in architecture only. It’s like someone cast a Ridiculus! spell over a proper wedge, making it hollow, dangerous to walk in, and forehead-creasingly expensive ($750).
If you’re a 7.5 US, you could snap up the last pair of these gorgeous Giuseppe Zanotti boots, which are now almost 50% off ($465 down from $889).

My hat’s off to the awesome style of this boot.
Yes, we’ve been posting about boots for months already, but hey. When you live in the Northeast, boots are the go-to footwear for a good chunk of the year, and today is no exception. I decided to forego my ubiquitous Uggs this morning (I forewent them?) in favor of actual structured leather boots by Camper, which are comfy but not nearly as warm, and now my feet are hating me for it.So what am I doing, as I gaze outside at the mixture of hail, sleet, freezing rain, and snow that’s coming down out of the sky? I’m looking up furry cozy warm-looking boots that retain enough femininity to put me in mind of Julie Christie’s Lara in the sleigh in Dr. Zhivago.I’m talking about luxurious things like this Giuseppe Zanotti buckled boot ($1,400)

and the Taryn Rose Douce rabbit fur boot ($842 on sale from $1,300)

and especially this gorgeous goat fur Sergio Rossi Chasa boot ($1,294).

These take the cake for me (although they’re also probably the least warm). But look at the toggles.

LOVE!
