Sigerson Morrison Asymmetrical Strap Pump

Posted by shoesense in Pumps, Sigerson Morrison Shoes

I’m a big fan of the asymmetrical trend, and there are plenty of choices out there. Here’s, however, how to do it right:

Belle by Sigerson Morrison

This Belle by Sigerson Morrison asymmetrical pump is $295 at ShopBop.com and I am hard-pressed to find a single thing I don’t like about them. Well, maybe the color, curiously entitled ‘Elephant’ (looks more like mud to me–or maybe that’s the idea). But here’s the pump to attend the gallery opening in style, perhaps with a glass of bubbly and some suitable man-candy as further accessories.

While perusing a sale at my local DSW this past weekend, I came across the Kizmit jeweled flat by Steve Madden ($56):

Cute, no?

And I kept thinking, ”Where have I seen this shoe before, and for more money?”

Was it the Party jeweled flat by Kate Spade ($259)?

Kate Spade Party

No.

It was the 6108 jeweled flat by Sigerson Morrison ($394)!

Want to snatch up this cute style for cocktail parties? Don’t want to spend nearly $400? Then grab Steve Madden’s version (also available in additional colors at Amazon for $79).

flat boots for spring

Posted by jitterbugbaby in Boots, Flats, Giuseppe Zanotti Shoes, Shoe Trends, Sigerson Morrison Shoes

As you may have been seeing all around you and saw a bit in the runway shoes from Paris, flat knee boots are where it’s at right now. And even though winter is on its way out (I say as snow falls from the sky and gathers on the sidewalks here in New York), don’t think flat boots are. A bunch of designers have versions of this style in their lines for spring, and I for one couldn’t be happier. No, flat doesn’t always equal comfy (think no arch support and super pointy toes are only found in high heels? Think again.) But flat is usually more comfortable, for sure. Forbes (not usually what you think of when you think fashion, but hey, I’ll take it where I can get it) has a great slideshow on boots for spring (flat and heeled) over here.

And in the meantime, let’s peek at a few flat boot options.

Nine West Orabella ($163 at Zappos), a fantastic bronze space boot. Just what every girl needs in her shoe closet.

To go Mod, pick up the Sigerson Morrison 6708 (on sale at Zappos for $454 down from $649)

If you’re a size 8 and have $1374 to drop, you can own these gorgeous blue suede numbers by Giuseppe Zanotti.

Or if you’re a 6 or 6.5, snag these lace up Proenza Schouler cuties with patent leather toe and heel caps (at Yoox for $308).

Never despair–put on a pair of steaming hot red shoes, and you’ll melt the most glacial of landscapes for this Lovers’ Day. And in that vein, may I suggest?

…as well as these Moschino ladybug pumps, which practically do all the flirting for you ($399 on Zappos):

And of course, this would feel a little incomplete without mentioning a pair of scorching hot Louboutins, such as these satin platform stilettos ($680 on NeimanMarcus.com):
