Valentino: Saying good-bye with color
Posted by shoesense in Fashion Week, High heels, Sandals, Valentino Shoes, WedgesValentino’s latest runway collections got rave reviews; certainly, the man knows how to retire in style. Colorful, playful, elegant, chic, and at times simply breathtaking–such were his offerings in the Paris show. The shoes were equally beautiful; although perhaps not completely innovative (we’ve seen the double-knotted strappy sandal before, as well as the vividly-colored platforms, the cut-out wedges, and the metallics). Still, the shoes were pretty, pretty, pretty–whether in pink, purple, gold, or black.

You want them, you know you do–plus, they’ll quickly achieve collector status, given that this is Valentino’s last season as a designer.

I was browsing to see what’s new when I stumbled across these beaaauuuutiful peep-toe ‘rosette’ skimmers, with a twine of vine meandering on the soft, blush upper. Ooooh, can I fawn over them some more? For these are the very definition of pretty, with a good dose of flair and elegance thrown in for good measure.
