Saturday Sales Highlight: Stuart Weitzman at 6pm.com

Not that it isn’t obvious from my blogging history, but I can’t seem go for more than a week without checking my favorite bargain sites to see what is new and affordable (comparatively speaking).
So, after a quick window-shopping hop over to 6pm.com, I wanted to share a few of the many Stuart Weitzman styles to be had at at this shoe-discounter extraordinaire:

Stuart Weitzman ‘Yeti’ (perfectly named!) $292.50 $575, in lama (shown) or black suede.
I am not completely certain how I feel about the recent proliferation of fuzzy-shafted knee boots. But, with snow predicted – Again! – this week, I am drawn to anything halfway sexy that also looks toasty warm. Plus, the platform on these is reminiscent of styling seen on shoes from Giambatista Valli (though this is a less extreme platform) , which are anything but drab.

Stuart Weitzman Ribbon-tie ‘Charleston’ sandals $146.25 $285 in Red or Black.
I have difficulty wearing styles with a separate D’orsay toe style due to the width of my foot at the instep. Nevertheless, I am continually drawn to these oh-so-sexy open and strappy styles. This sandal is just so feminine that it will never truly be out of style. Ribbons are such a classic and flirty touch.

Stuart Weitzman ‘Sashay’ $143.91 $285 in Blue Degrade Patent.
What can I say? This is a classic peep-toe in a stunning electric-blue ombre. The ombre/degrade color shift is just the thing to match every piece of blue in my closet. Lovely.
And really, where would I be if I didn’t mention Oxfords? I know there are folks out there who hate the current Oxford trend. I, on the other hand, continue to look for Oxford variations with which to stock my closet. For, one thing I have learned: If you love a trend, it is better to stock up on styles that you love and will wear – while they are still around – than live with regret for 15 years wating for the style wheel to spin its way back around again.

Stuart Weitman ‘Valleygal’ $135.72 $265, in Linen/Black Cayman Croc (Size 9 0nly).
Let’s just say this is not your innocent schoolgirl’s Oxford. The croc-patterned leather gives this a nice touch of grown up minx for either work or play.

Stuart Weitzman ‘Hartford’ $153.27 $305,size 10 only.
This is an Oxford bootie that has just a touch of Mod appeal in it’s reverse-spectator styling. Too bad they no longer have this graphic cutie in my size.
So, 6pm.com currently has a great range of styles available for any Stuart Weitzman fans out there. As always, have fun browsing…or buying, as the case may be.
Happy Saturday, folks!
A Little Light Reading, with a Shoe Crush.

This morning’s shoe crush is brought to you courtesy of Gothic Beauty and Target.com.
Anyway, while at the family’s weekly pilgrimage to our local Borders book store, my husband was lucky enough to trip across the only copy (likely our whole city) of the latest Gothic Beauty Magazine (Issue #27) - strangely hidden away in the automotive section of the magazine rack.
So, for those unfamiliar with this magazine, it is a fashion resource for those ‘alternatively inclined’ in their fashion sense – and, incidentally, has some amazing models and photography within it’s pages.
Among this issue’s photo articles is the ‘Dark Carnivale’; and the shoes I am loving are worn by model ‘Betty Valentine’ (in yellow corset).

Shoe Detail from alternate photos here:
I have started to see variations of this shoe here and there…and I love it. Unfortunately, since this was a model-supplied pair, there is no magazine credit for the shoe listed.
But, I have been lusting over the following shoe over at Target which is pretty darned close – and was also surprisingly comfortable when I tried on a pair locally about a month ago.

The Merona Asymmetrical Double-strap Maryjane ‘Tatiana’ in Black or Blush. (Originally $34.99, now on clearance for $24.99)
This is one classic and sexy shoe; the blush color is a great variation on a classic neutral. I will, however, be taking mine sans fishnet – that ship, for me at least, has long sailed.
Incidentally, per article credits, the barely-glimpsed oxfords on the other models are courtesy of Pleaser USA.
Saks Sales Highlights

Saks 5th Avenue continues to put new items on sale over at their website.
Among the items available today are:
Yves St. Laurent Y-strap Patent sandal $311.90 $780.
Certainly, this style is not as universal at the Tribute and Tribute Two, but for those of you that like this funkier interpretation of their platform style, the price really is fantastic.
Gucci Newton High Heel Sandal $295.90 $740.
This two-tone is a lovely, classic style that will be wearable for years.
Dior Whisper T-Strap Sandals $267.90 $670.
Imagine this with your perfect little black dress… wonderful.
So many sales these days, sigh.
Betseyville: Too Cute, or Too Much?

Betsey Johnson shoes are unabashedly feminine. And, the Betseyville sub-brand takes this even further in its generous use (possible over-use?) of Bows, Ribbons, and all things feminine.
Presenting the Betseyville ‘Lane’ in Pink, Navy, or Black ($74.00 on sale at Zappos, but you can also get the ‘Lane’ $26.99-$90 at Amazon.com depending on size/color availability)
I happen to find the pink to be Too Much; Definitely past my Barbie-girl threshold.

And, as for the Navy …Well, at least I don’t have to wear sunglasses to look at these babies.

And, the Black … I am still trying to decide how I feel about these.
These ones are an interesting and slightly-less-manic color set. Plus, they look like a dream shoe for attending Carnival in Rio. And a gal should always hold on to her dreams.
Dillards Boot & Shoe Sale

If you have not yet had your fill of post-Christmas and New Years Day sales, Dillard’s has you covered on affordable shoe fashion.

In addition to today’s Boot Sale, they also have other styles of shoes on sale at 40% off as well.
Some eye-catching options in boots for you to consider:
This first boot just brings to mind the thought of sipping hot cocoa and having cozy conversation with the family in front of a warm fire.
Jessica Simpson ‘Mazzey’ $83.94 $139.
With the quilted fabric and patent contrast, this next one still looks cozy, but has a hint of edge.

Calvin Klein ‘Diamond’ $96.00 $160.
This one is all straps and buckle. Super sexy… but the warm brown tones keep it from being too in-your-face and helps keep it’s edge on the more subtle side.

Calvin Klein ‘Peg’ $89.40 $149
This one (aptly named) has a definite Western vibe. Cute for the gal who loves showing that she’s ‘A Little Bit Country’.
Next, generous fringe for the Boho-Chic Moccasin lover.
Next, throwing me back again to a 1980′s Janet Jackson vibe, are these sexy, kidskin, ‘marching band’ boots.
Antonio Melani ‘Mirabelle’ $118.80 $198
And, from my favorite Project Runway judge, a straight-up, unapologetically sexy, black leather boot:
Michael Kors/Michael ‘Lattington’ $178.80 $298
As for the shoe and sandal selection? Well, my attention was stolen by some fantastic Vince Camuto Styles. Too bad New Years Eve is already over … Wowza.
Vince Camuto ‘Palmer’ $62.50 $125
Vince Camuto ‘Nell’ $65.00 $130
Vince Camuto ‘Greene’ $65.00 $130
Vince Camuto ‘Nora’ $65.00 $130
I don’t know how long the sales prices are good until … So, hop on over & take a look to see if there is a perfect shoe deal to ring in your New Year.
