Christian Louboutin’s Laser Cut Pampas Shoes and Clutch

Unlike many of today’s shoe lovers, I tend to run either hot or cold in regard to shoes from Christian Louboutin. A handful of them ‘wow’ me, but a lot of the others are just okay – classic and elegant, but not really breaking new ground.
However, there are those times when Louboutin creates a shoe that makes me squeal with desire. The Arabesque spirals and swirls of these Pampas patterned shoes are just such an occasion.

Women’s Wear Daily just took a poll that asked readers what they thought was going to be the most important trend for 2011. This poll showed that Vintage and Americana will be on the top of next year’s shoe trend. We saw this in many shoe lines and on the runways. Let’s look at what we could be wearing this coming year. The poll result, I think, is influenced by increasingly casual lifestyles.

Jessica Simpson Shoes: Fun Shoes at a Great Price

Footwear News recognized The Jones Group as the company of the year. One of their licensed lines is Jessica Simpson (through Camuto). Her line which includes not only shoes but jeans wear, jewelry, fragrance and so much more, just reached the $750 million sales mark this year. This is a line that is only 5 years old, but has paced so many other “celebrity” shoe lines. When Jessica made a personal appearance 600 people were standing in line to meet her.
Another thing I like about JS shoes is that they have extended sizes. They start at size 5 and go up to size 11. I appreciate that since I am at the top of that range.
I wanted to focus on some Jessica Simpson shoes because they are affordable, stylish, a lot of fun for a medium price. When I want to wear something fairly trendy, I often look at JS shoes. Let’s look at some Jessica Simpson shoes.

Footwear News Achievement Awards Winners

Every year Footwear News presents their Achievement awards. I was fairly interested in who was recognized because a lot has happened this year in the footwear industry. Here are some of the recipients awarded on November 29th.
The Person of the Year was Christian Louboutin. In his interviews he comes off as a genuinely great guy.

It is amazing to think that a small but loyal group knew his shoes before 2004. When he opened a shop at 59 Horatio Street. It exposed him to a younger hip group who couldn’t get enough of his shoes. Now red soles show up on every red carpet. In 2010 he opened 11 shops and started his online boutique. Growth in 2010. Amazing.

Geren Ford Farrah Boot

I love a versatile boot…but not at a price tag of $1800, even for Prada.
This multi purpose boot by Geren Ford, called the Farrah boot, is even more versatile than Prada’s and with a more palatable pricetag to, well, boot. Farrah is a 4-in-1 boot, with the ability to transform from an ankle boot, mid calf, knee high, and knee high with horizontal stitching all by undoing the three zippers. The price tag? It’s $499, so roughly $125 / boot type. And while it isn’t inexpensive, the boot is a pretty timeless style. Plus, think of all the room you can save in a suitcase for any shopping you might want to do on a trip or how much lighter your luggage might me.
