The Project Runway star launched her fashion line, HK by Heidi Klum, June 3rd, available exclusively through Amazon.com. They are at a $89 to $159 price point.
I am always a little suspicious of celebrities who have their own shoe lines, because they never seem to wear their own designs. (If they won’t wear them, why should I?) Gwen Stefani is an exception. Anyways, I wanted to see what Heidi has for us. Let’s take a look.
I’ve been meaning to write about these for awhile. Honestly, how could I not?

Nicholas Kirkwood is a shoe genius. And when he does a collaboration, it’s almost always drool-worthy. On the runway, these shoes he designed for Erdem were simply breathtaking.
The overall Spring 2011 Erdem runway was full of ethereal laces, layered embroidery and vibrant swathes of vivid colors with blended, water-color effects. Whether in youthful mini dresses or floating maxi dresses, the entire collection exuded femininity, movement, and elegant whimsy*.
Unlike many of today’s shoe lovers, I tend to run either hot or cold in regard to shoes from Christian Louboutin. A handful of them ‘wow’ me, but a lot of the others are just okay – classic and elegant, but not really breaking new ground.
However, there are those times when Louboutin creates a shoe that makes me squeal with desire. The Arabesque spirals and swirls of these Pampas patterned shoes are just such an occasion.

Yes, I realize that Pantone released this press release months ago. But, mid-winter didn’t really feel like the right time to find the best examples of shoes in their 2011 ‘color of the year’.
The color in question: Honeysuckle.
Which, for those of us less picky about our nomenclature is a bright, vibrant, retro-80′s-trending, PINK!
The Alexander McQueen label continues to produce elegant, edgy, and occasionally, over-the-top shoes.
The prior McQueen shoes we have seen this spring have been firmly in the over-the-top category; what better descriptive comes to mind when looking at these gilt-adorned wedges?
However, the same basic, flowing, lines we saw on the McQueen sculptural wedges have been reduced to the bare essentials to produce a darkly-elegant court shoe:
These are, in a word: Lovely.
