Chanel Alert: New Stock at Bluefly.

A recent Bluefly e-mail mentioned ‘New Chanel styles’ at their website. So, of course, I immediately popped over to see for myself what these items might be.

The styles shown below are some of what I found upon arrival at the Bluefly.com website. And yes, there do seem to be a few more currently stocked ‘Shoes to Die For’ by Chanel than I recall being available at this site just a few weeks ago.

Among them:

A Modern Fairy Tale of a Boot.

Chanel Black Strappy Leather Tall (Buckle Cut-out) Tall Boots $1116

Dreamy.

Chanel White Leather Flower (Wedge) Sandals $732

Even more Dreamy.

Chanel Silver Leather Tiered-Heel Pumps $696

Dreamier.

Chanel Black Striped Patent Ankle Strap Platform Pumps $700

Dreamiest.

Chanel Patent-Trim Canvas Platform Sandals $580

Absolutely Swoon-worthy.

Chanel Black Satin Star Jeweled T-Strap Platform Pumps $760

Sigh.

This is really a case of each shoe being even more delicious than the one that came before. I do hope one of our readers decides to give these beauties a good home. I like to think that they will find a great shoe-loving owner who will truly appreciate them.

Monday Morning Shoe Crush: It’s a Gucci day.

Posted by galligator in Fall 2008 Shoes, Gucci Shoes, High heels, Mary Janes, Platforms, Sandals

It’s another Mad Monday. Time to reveal my latest shoe crush.

I know that many ladies are drooling over the SATC Dior Extreme cut-out gladiator heels. I, however, have not been one of them (Sacrilege, I know). To clarify this, I have, for the most part, been uninspired by the majority of gladiator-styled choices that have surrounded us this year. Thanks to Gucci, that has changed.

The Gucci ‘Marion’ High-heeled sandals are a simply perfect gladiator-slash-equestrian sandal with just enough edge to keep things interesting. On top of all those sexy cutouts, there’s that little hint of a Mary-jane buckle over the instep. And then, the best touch of all is the wonderful warm chocolate leather that makes this a style that can be dressed up for dancing or dressed down for denim.

There is certainly a whole lot going on in this sandal. Luckily, it is in all the right places and has ended with a shoe that can proudly claim to ‘Have it all going on’.

Come share my current crush.

Simply Sexy Sergio Rossi for Lucky Size 10

Posted by galligator in Fall 2008 Shoes, High heels, Pumps, Sandals, Sergio Rossi Shoes, Spring 2008 shoes, Zappos

This morning, I want to share this gorgeous little baby with all of you :

Sergio Rossi AU6673.00 $724

Honestly, this is one pretty shoe. I am only barely avoiding drooling over this beauty.

I love the D’orsay styling, the two-tone patent and hair-calf combination, and of course, the cute little bow at the back. The 4.5-inch heel (sans platform) makes this a truly lovely silhouette; though at the highest end of wearability for many of us. It is, however, not available in my size and my pocketbook is truly grateful for this last fact.

However, there is still stock for one of you out there wearing a size 10. Who will it be?

I don’t know which part of the country you are in but here in the Northwest, Old Man Winter is starting to pick up the pace and drop the temperatures. It may be a balmy 65-70 degrees during the afternoons, but once the sun goes down, it’s freezing time.

That makes me start eye-balling my boots and wondering if I have the right pair(s) to get the job done.

So, since it’s really feeling like winter and there’s a fall sale going on at Famous Footwear, I’m passing the sale love on to you.

Bright and Beautiful at Christian LaCroix Spring 2009

Posted by galligator in Christian Lacroix Shoes, Christian Lacroix Shoes, Fashion Week, Pumps, Sandals, Spring 2009 Shoes

The Spring 2009 Christian LaCroix show was amazing, extravagant, playful, feminine, and most of all, beautiful.

Everything was adorned with bold and unashamedly feminine details from the clothing, to the jewelry, the handbags, and the shoes.

Oh yes, the shoes - delicate chain and ribbon creations that stand as jewelry all on their own. This was candy for your feet. Delightful, delicious and decadent sandals that will make you feel like a princess every time you wear them, whether paired with an evening gown or denim. The attached anklet ’strap’ nicely manages to avoid being cliche. In addition to this bit of sparkle, I am particularly fond of how the graduated coloring of the ribbon straps bring a subtle and stylish ombre look to the whole shoe. These certainly fall under the category of Art to Wear.
