Just when I was feeling quite proud of myself for foregoing the plethora of sales over the past few weeks, including Nordie’s infamous anniversary sale which I passed by a number of times on my way to the chiropractor, I have to admit my resistance is withering. The causes of my weakness? Let me count them.
Within my top 3 list of shoe brands I’d like to own are shoes by Taryn Rose, who is Jitterbugbaby’s patron saint of lovely and comfortable shoes. And wouldn’t you know it, HauteLook is having a sale on Taryn Rose shoes. The sale ends 24 hour, which doesn’t seem like a lot of time, but it means 24 x 60 x 60 = 86,400 seconds for me to cave in and push the “add to bag” button on the Taryn Rose Daphne oil slick wedges, which now cost $175 instead of $450 (65% off!) and the Taryn Rose Bianca, now $150 instead of $425.

NineWest is sorely tempting with a 50% off sandals sale. I’d love to duel with Russell Crowe in these orange gladiators for $39.99.

Shopbop.com isn’t much better. They are offering an additional 20% off their sale merchandise using coupon code BONUS20, which as Galligator pointed out, expires on August 7th. Even though I wouldn’t know what to wear with these eye-popping green Marc by Marc Jacobs spectator pumps, I’m still quite partial to them, especially at the price of $112, down from the original price of $470, which is what Zappos still has them priced at.

On the high end, Neiman Marcus is having an end of season clearance sale for an additional 33% off making these Manolo’s cost $309.

See what I mean? Temptation lies around every corner (and website).

I just got a wonderful little surprise from Shopbop in my email. Through August 7th you can get an additional 20% off of sale items by using the sale code Bonus20.
This is on top of the to the 30-70% that these items are already discounted. How’s that for a deal?
Here are just some of the available styles:
- Scorah Patullo “Alanis“ sandal. Originally $730; through Thursday these are an additional 20% off a sale price of $219 making these $175.20:

- Claudia Ciuti “Carolina” wishbone platform sandal in metallic or croco-embossed leather. Originally $375; 20% off the $262.50 sale price brings these to $210:

And one last temptation, Pour La Victoire’s “Dominique“ woven platform sandal. Originally $226; the 20% off it’s sale price of $158.20 brings this down to $126.56.

Drat, this is why I’ve put myself on a stricter budget. Too many tempting sales.
But, I sincerely hope someone else takes advantage of these fantastic prices. And, if you do grab a great deal, we’d love to have you share your newest additions over at our forums.
Ready. Set. Shop.

With the release of the luxury brand filled SATC movie, I realize a lot of my shoe posts have been designer related. Based off these recent posts, the newbie ShoeBlog reader may easily assume that I skew towards the upper shoe brands and am a bit of a shoe snob. The reality is that I am the lover of most shoes and do not discriminate between the Italian brands which cost a whole paycheck versus the shoes which are the price of a meal out. My criteria are usually quite simple - I would like quality, good looking, and comfortable shoes that don’t require a downpayment. (Of course, I have been known to stray if the shoe is particularly lovely even if impractical. Or maybe they aren’t as comfy as I’d like but the price was just too irresistible).
This brings me to my pick for shoe deal of the day. These Teva Ryley shoes (available in walnut or sandstone color) were originally priced at $70 but are currently on sale for only $14.99! With the price of gas creeping towards the $5 / gallon mark, the Ryley might be a good pair of walking shoes for someone who’s been feeling pain at the pump and wants to start walking more often.
The added bonus of these shoes is that they are part of Teva’s Curbside collection where the shoes are made from recycled material. Eco-conscious. Check.
Use coupon code LastChance608 for free rush shipping. Heck, even without the coupon code, this is still a great deal.
