Charlize Theron Vivier Heels

Like the Fug Girls, I wasn’t particularly enamored with what Charlize wore to the MTV Movie Awards:
It made her legs look spidery rather than supple and her midsection heavy rather than slim–overall, not a very flattering outfit. Except for…you guessed it: The Shoes. This shoe, to be precise:
These Roger Vivier dainty gladiators, buckled with rhinestones and sporting a black satin spine down the middle will run you £1,750, or $3,500. (Aaaannd I believe my blood just curdled.) They are gorgeous, though, despite their complete and utter impracticality, which makes them suitable for, oh, I don’t know, walking a maximum 300 feet from the limo to the theater to the stage (ditch them after you present the award and they’re done taking pics, that’s my advice). The shoes are a suitable match for Charlize’s glamorous face; the rest, not so much. (Photo courtesy of Go Fug Yourself.)

I love the bustier [with nicer sized cups... poor thing!], the pants, the shoes, bracelets, ring, nail polish… love it all… HATE that bag!

I don't know. That t-strap has me thinking Aliens-Giger designs, a little cyperpunk / creepy spinal cord vibe coming at me. A souvenir for Ripley, perchance. But, maybe it's easier to rock this look if you're a hollywood film goddess rather than a 5'-2" ruralite.
