Christian Louboutin ‘Freddy’ Vs. Dolce Vita ‘Miller’

Let me address a question of extremes.

When is enough, enough? Is there such a thing as too many studs on a shoe?

For me, after seeing the Louboutin uber-studded ‘Freddy’ Oxfords, my answer is, ‘Yes.’

For a gal who loves statement shoes as much as I do, these still veer just a little bit too much into pokeypine* territory for me. I’d much rather step out in these only-subtle-by-comparison Dolce Vita ‘Miller’ Oxfords.

How about you?

Which design to you prefer?

*My thanks to all of the toddlers I have known for bringing my attention to this awesome word, so much better and more visual than ‘porcupine’, don’t you think?

I agree with Valentina… Both equally non-worthy of my feet. Personally, I prefer studs IN shoes. ;-)

Lol. Say it 3X fast…Porcupine, pokeypine, porcupine.

“Weasel” is also a very funny word.

Oh dear, they are equally hideous. What would one wear those with? However, the word ‘porcupine’ ALWAYS cracks me up for some reason!

I love that I keep running into little kids who say ‘pokeypine’. It’s such a perfect name, it never occurs to them that it’s really porcupine. Yes, it’s pretty low-key, but it’s funny things like this that they don’t tell you about that make the whole parenting gig worth it.
