Christian Louboutin’s Eugenie

Star Light, Star Bright,

First star I see tonight.

I wish I may, I wish I might,

Have this shoe that shines so bright.

Christian Louboutin Eugenie - photo

There is no doubt about it. Christian Louboutin’s ‘Eugenie’ is a bright and shining star of a shoe.  At $1875, however, it has a price tag floating somewhere in the stratosphere. It is, honestly, so far out of my current shoe budget as to be in another solar system entirely. I suppose it’s just as well that the black satin with rhinestones (the color combination that I most covet) is no longer available at the Barney’s website. All the better to help reduce potential temptation.

Perhaps, in a year or two I will be able to hunt these lovelies down on the aftermarket. After all, I am a big believer in shoe karma. If it is meant to be, the shoes will find a way back into your life – right?

Of course, if you are less budget-constrained than this shoe-blogger, the taupe version of Louboutin’s ‘Eugenie’ is currently available from net-a-porter.com. So sparkly, we are definitely looking at one of this year’s bridal dream-shoes.

As they say, “All that glitters is not gold“.

Let’s just note that the article referenced that pinged shoeblog as a related article is including links to a fakes site while ostensibly giving advice on how to spot fakes. You can’t make this stuff up!

They are nearly 2 years old. These will be tough to find new. I do know that this seller "natrualgasgirl" sells legit louboutin via ebay (http://cgi3.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewUserPage&userid=naturalgasgirl) but not cheaply. You will need to be careful about unknown sellers on auction sites since I have encountered sites selling counterfeits of these. There was also a copycat style made by Martinez Valero (legal, but definitely knocked off from the Eugenie) called the "Ozzie" which is on clearance at 6pm http://www.6pm.com/martinez-valero-ozzie-ivory-sa…. There was also a bootie knockoff by Pelle Moda called the "Vinessa" that you also might still be able to find.

    Good luck on your hunt.

The taupe pair would be absolutely perfect bridal shoes! They'd have to be paired with an equally fabulous dress, as they would steal the show.

“Bridal dream-shoes”? Yes, I do dream of my feet being married to these!! I am in love.
** A tip for Budgeting Brides: wear these gorgeous Louboutins and just skip the gown entirely. They won’t be able to take their eyes off your feet, anyway!
