Christian Siriano is now available online at Payless

Remember how – not too long agowe were anticipating the new Christian Siriano-Payless Shoesource collaboration?

Well, some styles are now available in-store an online.

So far, I am seeing 2 shoe-styles and 1 handbag online:

Christian Siriano for Payless “Slither” $49.99. Don’t expect these to go on sale anytime soon.

Christian Siriano for Payless “Sandstrap” platform peep-to $34.99. This is a cute and classy shoe.

Christian Siriano for Payless “Sassafrass” extra large hobo handbag $34.99. I wonder if that little inverted pyramid-thingy will be the Siriano trademark?

These are cute and I like the idea of supporting new designers – particularly when they are trying to create affordable fashion for the many folks who must stay on-budget every month.

But, online styles appear to be limited ….. Let’s hope there are more styles to be found in-store.

…Or, am I just being unreasonably greedy to get my hands on a pair of the edgy little chain-adorned numbers we saw on the runway?

Now I’ll just have to  try to get some time to go into town today to see if anything has shown up locally. Unfortunately, small-town living may not bode well for me in this instance.

ETA: Another new style just popped up on the Payless site (particularly useful to those who’s local stores never saw any September in-store stock); these certainly weren’t there yesterday morning – Brown snakeskin flats:

Christian Siriano for Payless “Saunter” $29.99

I suppose there’s some of that chain we have been mentioning in the comments below.

Gal, they need to look at Prada, or Zanotti who has about a zillion different rocker/biker chick styles each.

And, today there is a newly listed Christian Siriano brown snakeskin flat that wasn’t there the other day:

R5- funny, doesn’t one of the Abaete for Payless booties have chains? Maybe they didn’t want to cross-compete too may rocker styles within their own store>http://www.payless.com/store/product/detail.jsp?skuId=072188060&productId=65669&subCatId=&catId=cat10376&lotId=072188&category=&catdisplayName=Brands+

As far as I could see, they just became available online – particularly the blue boots. If you were lucky enough to be in a larger urban area with in-tore availability – more power to you.

Plus, would it have been better for us to not mention the new online items for those folks, who like me, are rural & just don’t have the retail advantages of larger towns?

Unfortunately, not every town is on the leading edge on this ….. or so it would seem :P

I was a bit disapointed that Payless didn't make any shoes that were closer to the runway shoes. I know Payless has a demographic they have to think about, but I don't think adding chains to Sandstraps would have made a significant change in the cost and I suspect that chains would have increased the desirability of the shoe.

And, does that mean that last week's BOGO is over? That would be my luck.

I can believe they may have had a staggered release. But, unless I take a 3-hour drive into Seattle, it is tough to confirm anything except online availability :)

Wow, LOVE LOVE those shoes! Hope to see more photos here when more are released. Obviously, those would never arrive in my country.

More styles were available in September. A pump with chains across the toe cleavage area and a cone heel as well as a boot in brown in the same style as the blue one above. The purse was also available in brown. I think the styles have just been selling out and are no longer available. The release was just after a BOGO event and at the start of the next BOGO (i think a couple weeks ago) there were less styles available. Maybe they are holding out so we can't buy on sale or they are gone!….but i definitely saw them before.

The downsides of living in a rural but fairly safe small town is the limited local selection on anything fashion-related. Sigh.

Oh well, with Steamcon next week, it's not like I have the budget to spare on a pair of these anyway. ;)

They never made the chain heel – unfortunately, because those were hot! They did have a black heel with a very small chain on the front for sale not too long ago, but it didn't look much like the runway pair at all and I guess it's sold out now. Could be in stores though.
