Crocs: now soon in a comic bookstore near you
Posted on May 17th, 2007 by shoesense under GeneralIn a move designed to alienate the non-geeky fandom of the likes of Spider-Man, Crocs has signed a deal with Marvel comics to use their comic characters on their footwear. (You may remember Jibbitz? No? The company that produced jewelry for Crocs, and acquired by the latter in 2006 for no less than $10 million?). Yes, that means that soon you’ll be able to be-fuglify your favorite be-holed resin horrors with your favorite Spider-Man characters.
I just hope they don’t make Mary-Jane wear them in the next installment of the franchise. That would truly mean the ultimate humiliation!
