Cut That Out, DVF!

So DVF is doing a lot of cutouts. But somehow, her cutouts are coming out looking dated instead of as fantastic and fabulous as she is. Granted, matching up to her beautiful, comfortable, flattering clothes may be hard, but they also seem strangely conservative and too adorably sweet for DVF.

What do you think? Are the boots any better? Would you like them in a cassis color?
I kind of like how the cutouts are restrained to a limited part of the boot… and how the solid part of the vamp looks like a heel. But I probably wouldn’t wear these. Some DVF products are too crazy for me, but these are too tame, and suede just makes them look softer. I like my shoes a little bit more hard-edged.
Are you wearing cutouts? Would you wear these?
And is suede a no-no in your weather? I waterproof my suede, but with these cutouts, the rain would just run right through!
