Diane von Furstenberg’s Eva Suede Sandals

Yellow is a problematic color for me. It really doesn’t play well with my skin tones, so it’s not really represented in my clothing or shoe wardrobes.
However, that doesn’t stop me from smiling when I peek at these bright-as-spring-sunshine ‘Eva’ sandals from Diane von Furstenberg:

What do you think?
In the sea of monochromatic beige, brown and mocha shoes that are surrounding us this spring, even this sunny color that I have never remotely been able to wear is bringing a smile to my face. I just know that some fabulously tanned shoe-lover out there will rock the hell out of these. Even though these would never work for me, just having them out there for some saucy gal to love helps save me from falling into despair that we will be stuck witnessing a colorless 2011.
Oh, and these also come in gray or black. But really, with such a flirty and feminine style – and with spring technically here – why not splurge for color and drama that practically shouts ‘Hello Spring!’ ?

I see that Saks' description of these shoes has the color as 'citron' – which is fair enough, but it's more of a pickled cauliflower color to my eys

Nordstroms also has similar DvF sandals that have scarf looking ties. They are really cute too. I agree. I am all about color. Putty colors are just not doing anything for me.
