I am wearing them to an event that my mother will also be attending and she said to me “Could you please not wear prostitute shoes Saturday evening”? I think she will be very pleased, and I love them so much that I would have purchased them without her request. She thinks that the Louboutin Pigalle is “a bit severe”. Hilarious.

April, if I do have a budget…I’m unaware of it. I, fortunately, have a very generous husband. But, there have been times when his limits have been tested and he claims that the AmEx statements get delivered to our home via forklift! P.S. Those Diego Dolcinis from last night seemed very narrow on my feet…but totally worth the pain.

Galligator, and my mother was happy with the shoes but, of course, took issue with the black lacquer pedicure. She thought that “a nice nude or pale pink would have been a better choice”. She kills me.

V – Sounds like you enjoyed yourself.
April – Wouldn’t it be nice if we didn’t have shoe-budgets? But I’m glad in a way; my budget helps force me to decide whether or not I really love a shoe before committing $$ to it. But, I am tickled that there are women who can indulge their Cinderella side more freely than I. I am well satisfied with occasional stunning shoe purchase combined with the vicarious thrill that writing about finds for Shoeblog gives me (satisfying the window-shopping urge).

Galligator, in my defense…I warned him that if we moved away from my beloved south Florida that my shopping habits would become even more extreme. I suppose that I am attempting to kill this misery (of where I live)with shoes.
