In this case I agree that it depends on our feet. My Pliners (I have a pretty narrow foot) are my most comfortable shoes in my closet. However, Anne Klein shoes are incredibly painful to me while my friend can wear hers all day long. I can't stand for my feet to be in pain-glad you found a pair you love.

I would be tempted by the Donald J. Pliner deal if I didn’t have such a knee-jerk reaction against the line. A few years ago, I bought a pair of DJP heels on sale at a local upscale shoe store (the shoe was the perfect color to go with a red cocktail dress in my closet). Well, they were THE most painful shoes, bar none, I’ve ever owned! After only a half-hour, my feet were begging for mercy. I wore them four times, thinking I might just need to break them in, but every time it was the same. So, even though I’d spent $125 on ‘em, off they went to Good Will, and I instead bought the John Fluevog Audrey, which I wear to this day, pain-free.

Well, it just goes to shoe how all of our feet are different. To this day, Madden Girl always fit my feet wonderfully, no guarantees on higher end brands, though Betsey Johnson does pretty well for me.
