DSquared’s Sparkly Skeletal Boot in Milan

Few do sleek, sexy and avant-garde like DSquared. During my trip to Milan, I was surprised to still see the skeleton heels in windows at the DSquared boutique.
A little background on Dean and Dan Caten, the designers of DSquared. Their parents are Neopolitan, and they moved to Milan to work for Versace and Diesel in the early 90s. They launched their line in 1994, quickly gaining popularity for their avant-garde, but still wearable, designs.
They are beloved by celebrities from Madonna to Rihanna, and show no signs of slowing down.
Among other things, they have hosted a radio show on Sirius XM, which features music, celebrity interviews and fashion discussion and hosted and judged Launch My Line on Bravo.
We look forward to seeing more spooky, crazy and fun shoes from these two.
This sparkly boot is one that DSquared has on display at its Montenapoleone-area store for the holiday season. Note the silver instead of bone-colored heel.
