During the spring, my shoe girl crush was reserved for Zoe Saldana.   For summer, my new crush is on Emma Watson,  who plays Hermione Grange in the Harry Potter movie series.  Not only did the latest movie score box office gold, but Emma really deserved a fashion gold star with her choice of shoes while promoting the latest film.

To start with, Ms. Watson showed off her English pride with two shoes from London based shoe designer Charlotte Olympia.

The tapered heeled shoes give me a little vertigo.  Besides the height, Charlotte Olympia’s shoes are pretty distinctive  because of the gold spider web that is featured on every sole.  You can see the logo depicted in these hot pink Dolly pumps from LuisViaAroma.

Here’s another pair of shoes from Charlotte Olympia’s collection.  The black pump with gold platform is called the ‘Masako’ heel.

Here’s Emma Watson featured in Giuseppe Zanotti Gladiator sandals, which are still available at Net-A-Porter for $875.  I’m having trouble deciding which outfit I like best with the shoes.  Both are pretty fabulous but the one of the left is more fitted and age-appropriate for Watson so I prefer that one.

This polka dot dress oozes cuteness.  I like that Emma Watson took a fashion risk by pairing it with Topshop’s brogue shoes rather than a more predictable black pump.

Emma went from cute to sophisticated in this black and white dress from Prozena Schouler’s Resort 2010 collection.  Her shoes are by Burberry.  I couldn’t find the exact style for sale online, but Nordie’s does have a cream version of the Burberry shoe for $550.   Were it not for the slouchy poise, I would have really liked this look.

Rumor has it that Ms. Watson has been accepted by and decided to attend an Ivy school in the US.  I thought it was fitting of her (and for me) to end my latest shoe crush rundown with this skirt and shoe by American designer Jason Wu.  I can’t wait for her to come stateside. She’ll be a great import - not only does she have great fashion sense but it sounds like she has brains and common sense as well.
