Fall 2010 Couture: Christian Dior Shoes

posted by: Shomore in Christian Dior Shoes, Fall 2010 Shoes, Fall 2011 Shoes on July 6th, 2010

For the Christian Dior Fall 2010 Couture show, creative director John Galliano created a virtual garden on the runway.  For the floral motif, models were transformed into pansies, daffodils, and other brilliantly colored flowers.

The shoes also took on an organic feel with heels made to look like intertwined stems and pastel-colored strappy sandals which looked like they would bloom at a moment’s notice. What are you thoughts on these shoes?  Would Mother Nature have approved?

When taken alone, I would not have been overly wowed by the shoes, but after viewing the dresses, you can see why the shoes need to stay color and elegant.

Galligator, I have the same preference for shoes that look like that. I used to have the most beautiful pair of Manolo's that looked like vines going up your legs until I put them on for the second time only to have the strap snap! My heart was broken and I had to return them ): These would make up for them nicely though as I haven't found anything as intriguing. I love the chartreuse looking pair, those really give me the same vibe!

I have this thing for shoes that look like they are brambles/branches. Maybe I'll be able to budget these by winter….

Those are right up my alley and I look forward to prancing around in them! And I love that Galliano didn't ruin the shoe with a lower heel which would have killed the edginess/sexiness of it.

I think those shoes are absolutely gorgeous. They're not too over the top, and the simplicity is what makes them elegant…

if only a version with a slightly shorter heel were made…then it'd be something I'd definitely buy
