Friday Shoe History Corner
Posted on March 30th, 2007 by jitterbugbaby under Friday Shoe History CornerIn honor of springtime and my fascination with all things yellow and vibrant (and in keeping with this season’s particular focus on the ballet flat), I present these early Regency period English ladies’ shoes. I think they’re adorable, and I’d most certainly wear them if they were manufactured now.

I think the white embroidered satin detail on the toe is just darling.
These are in the footwear collection of the Northampton Museum and Art Gallery.
