‘There is so much space between a woman’s heel and the floor,’ designer Bernardo Figueroa supposedly said. It’s a shoe design philosophy I’m more than eager to get behind. To wit: these two gorgeous metal spike heels, modeled after tree branches and sculpted by hand (created in 1993).
